I have tried three or four that were supposed to work, but none did. Others have had better luck. I have a late build 06, and that might be the issue. The best that I could do is that one of the interfaces worked enough that I can listen to the iPOD, but I can't control it, other than starting and stopping it.

I have read that 06's nav system have something different from 03-05 that dont let it work correctly with ipod interfaces. I have the model of this that is not the S, it works great on mine.This one is probably an updated version or something but it's exactly the same.

It is not listed under 06 LS, no ipod interfaces were. You can do an fm modulator and use the ipod connector with rca inputs and charging wire attached to it, like these

Sorry, but I don't really recall. It's one that I originally bought for my 04. It worked correctly in the 04, but my wife didn't like the control interface, so I swapped out the factory head unit with an F90BT AVIC. She finds it acceptable, but to me the AVIC is too slow.

I do recall that looking at the different brands that I tried, they were all the same design, they just had different firmware loaded. I wish I could get a hold of the source code to the firmware they use. (They use a PIC microcontroller.) I have PIC tools and I'm sure I could eventually correct the software to make it work correctly.

What we need is someone from the PIE company to monitor forums like the guy from Optima battery company.

I still have my brakes to replace/upgrade. Once I do that then I am pretty much done with what I had planed to mod on the LS. A few other ideas like coilovers/upgraded rear ends/ etc. sound appealing but I just dont know if I can justify the expense on a car that does not hold its resale value...I love my LS and plan to keep her a while longer so who knows...

Once the brake upgrade is done I will snap some cool pics and give it a shot.

I have a Monster iCarPlay FM transmitter to listen to my iphone/ipod in the card and it works well. I think i made somewhere around $30, and I'm sure they're cheaper now.
