Hi,

When I am driving at any speed my A/C blows somewhat cold and at high speeds its definetly cold, but when I am in traffic and going slow or at a stop the air will blow hot. Any have this issue before, I did a search but couldn't find a similar issue.

Sounds like maybe low on R134a?

Checked that out first :). One tech said it might be a heater control valve? But I don't think it is.

This is not the typical symptom of the DCCV. Does the air become not cooled and slightly warmer than outside air, or does it get so hot that you can't stand a second of it?

If the former, then I was suspect an engine cooling fan problem. Do you have a gen I (2000-2002) LS? Hydraulic cooling fan problems are not uncommon.

If the latter, then it is either a problem with the DATC or the DCCV.

Its the first, just not cooler and slightly warmer than outside air. So you think its the fan. Not a good sign! Ill try to take a look into this as a possible solution.

Start your car up when the engine is cool, with the climate control on off. Now, switch the climate control on auto. You should here the engine cooling fan switch to high speed. If you don't, then your problem is there.

same problem

my car is doing the same thing, and my fan will go into high speed when the a/c is turned on, the 134 level is fine, i have vacuumed and recharged and no change. any suggestions

one more thingy

be sure and clean out the debris that gets caught between the radiator and oil cooler. remove the plastic cover and look down there. use hose to clear debris. my hydraulic fan and fan motor have been replaced 4 times and never have i had a problem with the a/c. always nice an cold. 9 years without repair. live in atlanta ga with long hot summers. use a/c almost year round. the a/c was working fine with the fan not working,,,,the engine just overheated.
