And before the flaming begins, I did search - However I don't have the time to read every single post in every single thread. . .

I am running stock 17" rims, and currently have two different sizes of tires on it. So, I am wondering if I should keep the same size thats on the rear set (235/55R17) or return the vehicle to OEM recommended 235/50R17. Has anyone else done this and if so are they rubbing? Thanks for any advice!

my winter tires were larger in the back, theey were 55's and i had no problems at all. so if you want to save some money and dont need need tires you'll be fine

I thought the second number just stands for height of the sidewall, not width of the tire? So 235/55 is .05 taller then 235/50 - right?

the 55 or 50 is the tires aspect ratio...

for instance, a 235/55/17... the tires sidewall height is 55 percent of the tires width (255mm)
