So I am probably going to get flamed for this, but I wanted to post up my introduction in here, so that my fellow LS owners/lovers who might not check the "Welcome Wagon" part can get to know me a little. . .

My name is James and I am stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas but live in North Kansas City, Missouri. Due to neck and back injuries I have received while serving the US of A, I had to trade in my pride and joy, a 2007 Subaru WRX (Stage II and freakin fast). Though I love/loved that car, my neck issues made it almost impossible for me to shift, and the ride and seat was anything but forgiving and I literally felt every expansion joint and pot hole making me see stars. . . The issue I was having with selling the Subaru is that I bought it as a salvaged vehicle from State Farm and repaired it to like the day it drove off the showroom floor and then filed through the state of Missouri for a rebuilt title. So when I found a dealer who was willing to give me 13K for it, even after I fully disclosed the Subies past, I would have been stupid not to take that deal. So I embarked on a journey of trying to find a vehicle that wasn't trashed and still had a sporty / youthful appearance on his small lot. I then stumbled upon the LS in the back corner of his lot. It had no stickers on it, and he said that I couldn't test drive it as it had a bad coil pack and he was waiting for his mechanic to replace it. Well, at first I wasn't that crazy about the vehicle, but the more I thought about it, and researched it - the more I realized that it would fit the bill for what I was looking for. (Not to mention drastically reduce my car payment and insurance.) Its a one owner LS and at the time of sale had only 55,000 miles on the odometer (no roll back reported) and the interior is in mint condition. I am unsure if it came with the navigation or THX sound system but it does have an Eclipse AVN 5435 navigation unit with Kenwood three ways in the front, Alpine S series speakers in the rear, and an Alpine 4 channel amp custom mounted on the back of the drivers side rear seat powering it all. The exterior is another story - though it is the beautiful dark metallic blue color, the previous owner must have lived next to a automatic car wash that used brushes which apparently he visited daily. The swirl marks are horrible, and I have already made an appointment to get the paint fully restored (setting me back 500 bones). There are also three dents almost forming a pyramid in their shape on the passenger side of the roof about an inch and a half behind the sunroof (don't worry, the sunroof is fully operational), that at some point I will be getting repaired.

Well that pretty much sums up my ride. I will post some pics up this weekend so you can see what I am working with. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome. Souns like you're on the right track, soon you'll go mod crazy

Welcome to the forum. If you can look past the occasional smart a$$ comments then you'll be fine. This place is more helpful than most dealerships. Post pics and future mod list.

+1:w

So what year and how much did you end up paying :O
Welcome!

Its a 2003 and I got it for 11,250. I didn't put any money down and the 250 was his "doc fee". . . It was slightly more then all the other Lincoln LS' in the KC area, I believe mostly due to its extremely low mileage and one owner status.

I have an 03 V8 Sport as well :) - Post some pics!

Definitely dude! Always up to have some beer and chill! Running at KCIR isn't a priority, mostly because I remember how fast my WRX used to do the 1/4 mile in. . . The LS is my pimp ride, not my fast ride! lol

Welcome. You should post some pictures of the LS.

And the one pic I have

Here is the pic of it, before I took delivery, with the price still on the window. lol...

i think KCIR would be a good place for a kc metro meet because its kinda in the middle of the metro area for the most part. plus its an automotive atmospere regardless of runing the track or not. maybe if we get 6 or 8 LS's we can do sum bracket racing. im going back to KCIR friday june 4th and i'll talk to them about having a meet this summer and see if we can get some exclusive LS staging lanes and a designated pit area or something
