Very surprising, repete. What stall speed did you order?

Mine came in a completely different box.

Pektel what the FUK mang! How are you gonna let Re-pete be the second person to have the converter mod done. You dissappoint me.

Well, I'm not convinced he has it yet. I can dig up pics of a TCI on the net too.

Trust that as soon as I get the extra cashola, I'll be picking one up. Not my fault he had the money first. I ain't gonna put it on a credit card that's for sure.

No man.. They are a really big improvement from stock.. Once I put them in and the computer realized that I had new cats (like 3 days) the cel went off.. It was a good deal in my eyes..

Just throwing it out there..
The stock cats are 13 inches and the ones off of eBay are 10
That makes them easy to weld in there

I had the new cats, res., and mufflers welded in and installed for 150.. So just welding the cats in should be a lot less than that..

Spray the piss out of it with PBBlaster..

I ended up breaking two off on the pass. side.. For anyone who wanted to know about the studs, they are threaded into the manifold.. I used heat and bolt extractors to get it out. The top one came out easy (the hardest one to get to) and the bottom broke off flush.. Drilled out the remainder and tapped the hole and put a new stud in.

how would you go about making it a 2.5 inch system, the x-pipe I got i 2.5 in/out and I was going to pick up 2.5 inlet mufflers too... but I'd like to complete the set with some high flow cats -- but I see you went with 2.25.... I'm confused.

Heres what I got..

I had a hoist to work on and got everything apart.. I took it to my local exhaust shop and he welded it all together and he said if I brought the car to him he would hang it all back up there for free so I said what the hell.. Saves me the 15 minutes..

I posted a thread (Manifold stud/bolt questions).. I showed a couple of pictures of the studs that I broke off..

With the bends, I would stick with 2.25 cats.. After the bends, make it 2.5.. That was my original plan until I didn't use my head and was thinking about using aluminum plated pipe. It is all stainless which is $15 a foot and at an estimated 20 feet I couldn't afford it. So they just welded it into the stock piping. I will replace it when I get the money. The res., and mufflers are 2.5

edit: I keep finding answers just after I post! damn you answered quick before a repost again! you are good sir.

what bends are your referring to? just where I'm going to put on the new cats? since I haven't welded anything up yet and am still gathering parts should I go with 2.5?

There is a weird bend right of the manifold then I believe it is a 45 from the cats into the rest of the system. Then, of course, if your going to do the rest of the system, the bends to go around the diff and into the mufflers.. Is that what you were asking?

I'm going for 3200rpm. But since this install require work in the tranny (thank god I got my 90k mileage done) it'll be pricey to do at the shop so that's why I'm waiting until I can get a SCT used or new and then get either the guys down the street from me to do it or Carb Connection to do it

I bought mine used hense the tattered box it came in but I asked TCI what model would work for the 5R55N so I waited and waited til I could come across one as I really can't afford new stuff right now til money starts coming in.

I bet you anything I may of got mine in but knowing Pete and how skilled he is he might just get his installed before me. hell I still needa get 200-250 to get my buddy to repaint my rear bumpercover due to the damn hit/run driver

hmm... soooooo after the 45 degree bend, go 2.5, before the 45 degree - stick with 2.25?
And yes, of course all piping will be 2.5 from cats back, through the xpipe and a 2.5 inlet on the mufflers.
would it be a big difference to remove the stockers, and move them to where 2.5s would work... if that's what you're saying? I would think the more 2.5 piping the better so - I guess what would I need to do for a 2.5 cats - xpipe - muffler system. thanks for all the help.

Like other people have said.
Your exhaust can only flow as free as your most restrictive part.. The manifolds are about 2- 2.25.. So it doesn't really matter.. I was thinking that after the bend, put a reducer and go 2.5 after that..
It gets pretty close to the floorboards so that's why I got smaller.. I am missing them by about 1/2 of an inch.. There is also heat shielding there to protect your feet from burning up.. :)

well - without specifics on the mani i'd like to go 2.5. there's no price difference from those ebay guys.. or maybe $3 or something. so I figure why not right? unless I can't actually fit them.. I haven't been under there in a few days, I just snuck under wuick after work one day for some rough measurements and a look of what I'm working with. magnflow went with a 2.5in system, so I figured why not. There was a debate a while back about 2.25 vs 2.5 and if there's any gain to be had. Definitely no bigger, but if I'm going 2.5 might as well do it all I figure.

 Hondas shouldn't even bother with exhaust.. Aren't there manifolds like 1 3/4 or something like that? Lets run 4" HAHA

My problem with that was I didn't know if I could get a reducer in there.. Like I said, that's only 3 extra inches you have plus you have to account for the bends. The stockers had that built in..

what about cutting the resonators off and putting on some performance mufflers such as borla or something else
