if you have been reading my suspension thread (your probably not) you allready know mighty mouse used to live in my mark VIII. the damage this mouse has done is unbelivable. the cps wires were chewed to the connector. and i found teeth marks on the connector. there are grooves chewed out of the front lower bumper (I will try to take some pics). there is dammage everywhere it is amazing.
i got the car running and driving yesterday and the verry first thing i did was put $20.00 worth of 93 in it. i love being stupid. when i pulled into my driveway i gave it he!! for about 5 min. lots of white smoke= lots of fun.
then i noticed it that horrably scary smell !!!FUEL!!!. i am deathly afraid of that smell as i learned my lesson the hard way. i have learned not to ignore that smell. the last time i smelled that my E30 vert burst into flames. I regret not pulling over and fixing the problem. i could see my house. man that was a bad day. one block away at a stop light
and it was all my fault.
i am not trying to pull a ripped cammel. so i am not going to cut into my floor under the seat until i know for a fact there is no fuel puddled up there. and until i find all the fuel lines no way!!!! i may do it just after the tank is out and i know it is safe
i know i will probably have to cut the exaust as i have read but does the driveshaft have to come out? probably a stupid question. but man i would like to avoid that. is there any way to get some of this gas out? like pull a return line and let the pump drain it
i am looking for any suggestions,do's and dont do's. i do not want to pull a ripped cammel here. what could mighty mouse have gotten to? can i replace the hoses with simple high pressure fuel hose? or is there some hard plastic lines i need to keep? man i hope he didnt chew through the tank. it is possable. you should see some of the stuff this mouse has gotten to absolutly amazing. he chewed the vent lines off. and i do mean off.
by the way i know i cant spell and have no buisness wrighting anything. so please do not burn me due to the lack of wrighting skills. and if you want to keep your kids in school. just direct them to one of my threads and inform them. i am not retarded just a high school drop out.
