Question

I have a 2000 3.9L V8 LS Sport. Tonight on my way home it started to idle rough and had no power. (car has new coils and plugs 3 days ago). I pulled over and checked the coil leads all were attached. restarted the car and it drove just fine. Any Ideas what it might be

Wish you would of stated how many coils changed and what brand,how much $$ you paid and where you got them.

Sorry All 8 coils were done, Purchased at ford got them for 48 each. (i have a dealer account)

Also I did not get a CEL when this happened either

It's a wild guess, but you might want to check and clean the MAF. It's one of the many, many things that could cause what you describe.
