So I finally did my coil over conversion on thursday. It has a 1.5" drop, looks great and amazinly enough It rides less bumpy then my 2" sensor lowered. So I'm quite happy that I converted no more air ride issues.
Well anything new is better than the old. I for one like the air-ride for one reason: snow I just turned the dial and now I have a 4X4!lol
What brand did you go with, unity, how did you like that 14.5 inches of snow that just dumped on us
He bought them from me. I bought them from a guy from utah who taught me how to do the swap. They were on his 95 for 4,000 miles than his 16 year old son wrapped it around a pole. They were on my 93 for about 3,500 miles than an old lady jacked up on heart meds plowed head on into it while it was parked in front of my house. I could have sworn they were either suspension techniques, spring tech, or sprint. All I do know for sure is that they are linear, not progressive, they rode wonderfully, and they were the perfect stance on my lincoln. Best modification I ever did. Now that car is getting stripped down and the motor is getting put in my 97 thunderbird. So Mannie which method did you use for the upper rear mounts?
So I'm quite happy that I converted no more air ride issues.
I like coils to even though mine are a little bouncy. They also seem to be more than 1.5 inch drop. Lets see some pics.
Welcome to coil club???...how come I'm the only one seeing that he converted to coils back in 2009 and Tommy is just showing him the damaged done to his K-Member from the 1.5" drop when he went to get his exhaust done last week?
I hate the snow, I guess thats why I live in the desert. I will take 110 degree weather any time, plus I don't have to worry about rust from the winter snow.
I bet the damage was done when his air ride went out![]()
