Custom Fit Sub Boxes for sale!!!

i was looking at that too but with shipping its 170 thats alot of money just for a sub box

That looks pretty nice though. I'd have trouble building one for that price. Once I factor in materials AND time. Hmmm... says they will do a setup for 1 12 as well. Wonder if they will also custom the air space size too. That's pretty cheap for a custom box.

the place they build these is 5 minutes from my house. A customer brought one in for his car and they are pretty nice. I am pretty sure they are cnc machined.

I see it says it's constructed of 3/4" and 1/2" MDF. I'm wondering if the entire basic enclosure is 3/4", and the decorative board is 1/2". I hope the whole front of the enclosure is not 1/2".

ya true about the mdf, :q:q:q:q 1/2 lol. but to me in cali the shipping said 35...but this setup looks clean and i think i could place port holes on top for air to come through the factory sub holes and into the cabin but i dont know. i have never had a sealed box before...

I have a vented enclosure right now. But it's not precise enough for my tastes.

They look cheap IMO.

Especially if it is .5 MDF.

I would save myself a hundred bucks and build it myself. Though I have built boxes for a fairly long time. They are not hard to make.

Plus with that setup. It looks like sealed chambers that are kinda small on space. IMO face the subs forward and port into the stock sub locations. Also maybe cut where the middle rear seat folds down if you really wanna get some thump in the cabin.

Ou and alot of dampening on the trunk lid lol

yeah it says .94 cubic feet per chamber. But I don't think that includes the space taken up by the sub. I sent an email asking if I can specify a volume if I do a single sub setup for the same price.

ya see i dont have anything to make one of these/ dont really want to lol, plus 135 isnt bad for a custom box. they also might be able to switch around the direction the sub would face so it would face forward then you could just add two port holes on top...idk just thoughts.

$170 isn't bad for a custom box. I'd want to know what is .5 and what is .75". But if your skilled enough to make your own it would definitely be cheaper to.

ya i just emailed the guy asking some of these questions so ill let you all know what i hear.

Building it yourself is the way to go if you can. I wonder why they used two different sizes to begin with. I just built a custom box for my LS and it only cost me $70. That's the wood, screws, liquid nails, quick disconnect pod, and herculiner to coat the box. My one sealed 15" sub hits harder than most dual 12" subs at competitions.

i think i could place port holes on top for air to come through the factory sub holes and into the cabin but i dont know

there is a lot more to ported boxes than just cutting holes into sealed boxes.

not to mention, by the time you add ports, the port volume will actually make the box volume (the amount of air the sub has, not the actual size of the box) smaller. depending on the sub, probably a bad idea

weaksauce... Noway that will work for someone with a legit woofer that weighs 40+ lbs alone. Might as well kiss the front and rear baffles goodbye! haha

Then again, if you have legit audio equipment, I am sure you aren't buying pre-made boxes.

lol true i have nothing special so its perfect for me also would be a good template for something later down the road if i wanted to upgrade...

That looks cheap. I bet if you was to put any kind of power, it wouldnt work.
Oh, and good luck paying for shipping if that box is made from 3/4" mdf. That isnt going to be cheap.

It honestly wouldnt take a couple of hours to make that exact box.

I had a shop build me one. This is what I got. Should have specified the box size... it seems a bit small.

That looks nice!
I have been complitating about installing a system in the Ls but I don't know I'd I really want it. I have rather nice systems in qllthe other cars and it is nice to still have the very mild system. Nothing that I have to worry aboutlol.
Not to mention the extra weight will slow down the Ls. Lol. J/k

What is with the brand? You have to use the best "kicker"
living loud!!! Sorry just a little bias I use to work there up to this last month till we moved

FYI- Kicker sucks. Well, for the price they charge anyways.

Not really. I have mine mounted on the back of my rear seat:

That is cause it is the leader in car audio. Like anything else you buy cheap you pay for what you get

Agree to disagree. There are subs will perform on par or better than kicker for less money. I'll let the car audio buffs duke it out though.
