I saw the commercial for tonights show and looks like he is dropping bowling balls on a silver gen 1. Another one bites the dust.

Dang, I was all ready to hate Leno the most now and I guess I have to go back to hating Dave again. :(
 
I guess that is just more proof that Letterman isn't just not funny but he is a douche bag too. Guess I'll have to email the show a pic of my Gen 1 and dare them to try and drop something on mine! :mad:

What a dickhead! Someone should find his ride and bowling ball it to death. I never did like him much, if it wasn't for his top ten list he'd be completely worth less.
Anyone need Gen 1 parts, find where this car goes after the show:shifty:

Wow! You guys make me laugh! :rlaugh: I haven't watched Letterman in years cause he just isn't funny anymore but with the thread here pointing out what was going to be on I tuned in. I was glad it was close to the beginning because his opening monologue was just painful and I still think Paul looks like dick with glasses...... is that like a prick with ears? :lol: Anyway when he said the miles I knew there were gonna be some pissed people on here. I threw my blunt at the TV. :lol:

At least he got the specs right.
 
it may have been a CFC car, just cause he says it ran doesnt mean it did. It was probably his interns car. LOL

Nah, that wouldn't do anything, he has to get some entertainment out of it.

Maybe take a vid of david letterman that shows his left profile, stick him in the car, then drop a huge I beam on the car. Have a bunch of interns fall out of the crinkled up trunk with their clothes off or something. Blood everywhere. Lol. If someone can fab up a video of that, I'm sure Leno "might" find some interest. Or any other talk show host. It might be more up Jimmy Fallon's alley, even though Leno is a car enthusiast. And it would have to be done very soon, so it's still relevant.
 
Ok its done. I emailed Letterphag's show and sent links to this post and pics of my car and some really nice ones from here. I also informed them what a tool and dbag he is. I also sent an email to Leno's show regarding our sites love for these cars and Letterphag's stunt last night. Who knows maybe it will get our site mentioned on TV or maybe some of our car pics on TV! I will let you all know if either show replies.

Cool. That was smart. What is there for them to give a crap about?! Most we'll get is made fun of like a bunch of idiots who drive 2500 dollar cars.

That was kinda pointless. No matter what car they did it to there would be someone to complain about it. Hell, even Morris Marinas have a following. :eek: :lol:
It was a cheap car that filmed well so they used it. I still have mine and you still have yours. Yeah are cars are rare but not super rare enough to get COMPLETLY bent out of shape about it.

OTOH I would have much prefered to see a Civic there. :D

Its not even so much about the fact that it was a car like ours (even though that did irritate me) as it was the fact that it was a perfectly usable car. And it was in what we were left to assume was in good condition. They could have just as easily used a junk or wrecked car. And to top it off regardless of what kind of car it was or in what condition IT JUST WASN'T FUNNY!

Sorry if I offended you or any other Mark owner. For the record though regardless of what anybody says about my Mark VIII I will never be ashamed to own it!
