These wheels, opinions?

Now that I have the old front wheels on the back and vice versa the car has become really smooth now. No more vibrations at all. :)

If you ever implied you weren't happy I'd start working towards a refund. I can't believe those were bent man. Still sorry about that. At least swapping them hid the problem!

Woot... so stoked to actually see the rebuild on your car ponies... I would bet that we finish stacks car first though :)

Lol, yeah, if I'd quit being a girl and make up my mind on a couple things it'd be easier. I have to wait until I start my new job before I have the money flow to support it anyways, so I'm sure you'll be waaaay ahead of me!! :shifty: :)

check out these look em up DUB ''big homie''

Lol, no offense, but definately don't want to be thought of as a DUB kinda guy. You know they just forgot the M right? There's good taste and then there's just too much of a good thing, and DUB is always, always.. on the too much side of it. Thanks tho man. and again, no offense

Brad... what are those wheels on that coupe???

OMG those are AMAZING!!!

Wheels like I've wanted, but have been looking at a 4k price tag. Brads prices are a bit better, but, so many options lol

You're in the market aren't you Stack? Man, you should check out his selection. He offers ALOT of freaking wheels for our cars, people don't even know. It's more than just the saleens/cragars/fr500's etc.

Im thinking about a wheel change on the 96 after I finish the convertible (which will probably be never). I def want something that has never been done before. Tough to find something that looks good.

You mean, never done before on a mark? There's some nice 3 piece wheels out there. Looking from 2.5-5 grand per set though.

As far as forged 1 piece wheels made to fit the mark, looking 2.5 grand minimum also.

Exclusivity is not cheap.

Lol, I knew when I saw your reply it would be interesting! Yeah more of a gunmetal w brushed nickel accents. These pictures don't do justice, they look like crap on both cars. Just couldn't come up with a better picture of the finish, actual size ratio, etc. On a flat black mark they would look kinda neat, especially with a short amount of hot rod pinstriping ya know. And I'm talking about a shaved car, no extra crap, hotrod style..

Yeah I'll check those out, I'll PM you too.

I'm with you on that. I initially want to flat blak out my Mark. But since it's still got good paint on I figure I'd rock it for now.

I dig those wheels. No offense to anyone but I never liked the speedstar and typical contemporary styles. To each their own.

I saw a flat black Chrysler 300c on my way to the Billetproof vintage car show a while back and made me look at that model differently ever since.

You're understanding me on those wheels??

Lol, you ARE from California, you've prob seen the 'so cal hot rod' trend I'm thinking about aiming at.

I just mean something that I havnt seen before on a mark. I would NEVER spend that kind of money on wheels.

A mans car is an extension of his personality.. but you have many, lol

Off that subject-

Here's a picture of Ashcrofts '36 pickup, I really like this truck. These are the wheels that the wheels I was originally talking about, originated off of.

Ahahaha. Most definitely.

But even SoCal Speedshop's styling is too "blingy" for me. But I do give them respect for their history and their dedication to performance on the Salt Flats.

When it comes to "MY" cars, I don't like chrome, hate loud paint jobs, like to keep things OEM as possible (with the exception of kustom jobs).

Kind of what Billetproof puts in their guidelines to car entry:

* 1964 and prior TRADITIONAL style rods and customs ONLY
* No visible billet anything! Especially wheels!
* No digital gauges
* No IFS on fenderless cars
* No trailer queens
* No mag wheels made after the 60's
* No high tech styled, pastel heart beat graphic, tweed interior, fenderless IFS sporting hot rods
* Traditional looking choppers and bobbers ONLY! (No modern West Coast Choppers, OCC style bikes)

The only reason my Mark is the way it is because I drive that thing everywhere and don't really want to worry about it. She's my A to B car, for now.

Good luck on yours. And keep me posted, I'd like to see how it looks. I remember seeing a gen2 flat black picture and loved it. Anyone have any?

Hey bro...Yea those are a Bonspeed Forged Billet "DELTA". I can build you a set if thats the route you want to take I have a few suppliers you can skim over.

Have a look at Bonspeeds site.

Coddingtons...You can do legend or legacy series. Its a forged 2pc. and priced better than anything in the same level of quality in my opinion. Its finding a style that suits your taste. Bonspeed does more with the finish with respect to brushing and color matching. I would rock either one...heh

Yea there are more but I prefer either of those...Bang for the buck is deff there.

Cheers

Brad

More or less just making a note, but curious on prices of the bonspeed "big block".

We'll have to make a list Brad, and probably go according to price.

They are all the same price with respect to style. Its the sizes that break up prices. I will be in touch.

Brad
