After taking my car into the dealer they diagnosed the problem with a bad throttle body(whole unit). After researching and finding the part is on backorder "forever" I found one on ebay for 149.99. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to install it. Im assuming its just a quick bolt on, but wondering if anyone has replaced theres and had any suggestions on what to do.

Un-do the intake setup, unplug sensors, remove 4 bolts around the perimeter of throttle body (8mm?) save metal gasket, bolt on new one.. done it too many times..

Really easy.Only did it once and it was really easy.Just like Missing_Linc said.

The hardest part, and it is hard by no means is removing the coolant line on the bottom of the throtle body.

Got rid of them? No harm done?

It's heat to the throttle body. As long as you are not in a cold and moist area, you would probably be okay. However, I don't see much advantage to disconnecting it either.

F150 throttle body on my car, less shroud around the blade area and doesnt have any hookups for the coolant lines..
