Everyone pitch in for a ticket for me to goto Japan and get the 2 tone tails!

The gen 1 2 tones remind me of the 96 accord:

i think the bigger of the picture is that THEY MADE 2 tone tails for the GEN 1 ls, and they are so rare and discontinued, even if you had the money they wouldnt appear, i would like to have them just for that reason alone, i think they look better then the hondas tails just because the gen1 tails have the bumps in them. i just want them cause they are exclusive, but i agree they remind me of a honda
 
I don't like 'em. Just my $.02 But whatever makes you happy is cool by me.

because they do'nt have bumps in them? gimme a f*ckin lighter and I'll put it next to a honda's tails til it gets bumps in it :P
 
I Guess the. Do look like that honda's but so much classier and sexier, like i said it's your own opinion on if you like em or not, I just don't like how small and unfunctional the 2nd gen 2 tones are lol if that makes any sense. For 900$ though I'll for sure go with a 2nd gen setup.

And no I don't have money allnover just becaus I have 2 explorers and an LS...my 92 was a gift from my mom for finally getting a really good report card which was like a's and b's compared to my usual c's in which we got it for 800$, the 95 is because my grandma can't drive any ore and she gave me he 97 Taurus which I traded for the 95 and the LS...my othe grandma loaned me the money so I'm paying that off still; by selling the 95
 
Just my two cents... the LS's rear has never been one of my favorite things on the car. On the first gen I just think the tails are too big and squared, so the two tone helps to break it up. However, I don't like the more rounded look on the 2nd gen. My personal favorite is the the 2nd gen LSE. I love the color matched surround and then the smaller red lights just accent it really well. I just wish we had more options :cool:
 
I do agree with that, I was at work yesterday out in the parking lot, and about 4 LS'es were there, one being a black LSE, with the all red tails (2nd gen) and those didnt look to bad.



I do agree too with what your saying about the 1st gen, the rear of the car has a funky (not the right word) style to it, and I think it has alot todo with the whole license plate surround, and the oversized reverse lights.
 
I used to have the 2000 and i wanted the two tone. I now have the 03 and was happy about the two tone, then i got them tinted lol. anyways, when i wanted the two tones for my 2000 i thought it would look "tight" as well, if not for anything but to be different. Last xmas i went to S.Korea and japan where I saw the 1st gen with their 2 tones, i wasn't happy with what i saw in person, it did remind me of the accord taillights and i was happy i never got them.
 
I think when I get the money, im just gonna go with an LSE trunklid from a 2nd gen and get the smaller 2 tones. I might even get the LSE solid red ones, I do like those.

It's not that easy. You're going to have to get the trunk lid with the rear license surround, the lights, AND the 2nd gen rear bumper cover because the 2nd gen trunk won't line up to the first gen.
