Clear corners on ebay

already seen them all over ebay but i doubt they'll actually work unless a fellow member has bought them and tried them....
 
plus they never show any car with them on..just a "before" picture...never a after...
 
Those look to be the correct shape. Only for sport models.

The only thing I don't like about these, is that they come as a complete assembly. Wouldn't you want to paint the inside of the housing the same color as your car? I did, and I like how they blend in better.
 
They also sell ones for non-sport but I had these on for about two days before I realized one was missing. I don't know if it just flew off on the interstate or if someone stole it but w/e.

Pete, you dont always want the inside to match the color of the car. Say you have a black car or any darker color and you want that true white Euro/Jap look, you will end up with something more smoked if you painted the inside anyway.
 
Oh ok. Well since I dont have these I haven't gone crazy looking for them an had the experience and knowlegde of whats ot there. Just trying to help out.I was actually going to order some clear corners for my headlights and the side markers a while back but then realized that was for gen 1 and I did't have the orange markers too :D . They were discontinued but atleast I realized it before I went crazy searching for them.
 
Jwerner2. What year is your ls? I could've sworn it was an 03 but then the headlights are gen 1.

Hmmm, but the LS isn't a jap. My preference is subtlety. I would rather have no sidemarkers, but clear with body matched housing is the closest I'm going to get without body work.

What Im sayin is thats the point of the lenses. To appear white. Look at all the Euro side markers or JDM side markers for any vehicle, they are white.

Most are just a clear like lens with a white housing to give this effect.

Example: These are for a BMW and are OEM in Europe.....

I know the LS isnt a Jap car but neither is a Cavalier or a Focus and people call the clear Lenses for them either Euro or JDM. I really didnt want to use the term JDM around these streets;) :D

Technically they arent clear corners/sidemarkers. They are white/Euro. If they were to be considered clear the lens would be crystal clear with no refractor pyramids and they would then have a polished nickel/chrome housing.

Regardless, just think about the point of having a darker colored car. If you paint the housing they wouldn't be clear/white. They would then resemble the look of smoked.
 
I'll be damned, I actually found a example showing a true clear against a Euro white!

i ordered a set of those in the smoked color and they fit like sh*t , i finally got them to fit in there and it just seems like the shape of them isnt quite right..
 
Yes, I agree. I have the smoked on my car and it seems that the curvature of the smoked light assembly is a bit off.
 
I've had the same problem with my smoked sport markers as well. I wanted to see if they'd fit my CDC LSE bumper and I wasn't even able to get them in right. I hate to give you another reason to photo whore your car but do you have pics of yours with the painted housing pekt?

Sure. Don't mind the yellowed edges around the lense. I made a huge mistake when putting them on. My epoxy had dried up on me, so I decided to try super glue. Dumb move on my part.

Anyways, here you go:

I'm sure the difference would be much bigger on a darker color.
 
I decided not to blend for the reason I wanted them to appear the white that they came and stand out a little more. We just have different likes but either way is fine. Here is another close up pic. I am not on here much I can do a little pic whoring. I cannot get the pic to be bigger oh well.
