2 tone gen 1 tail lights

where to get these, i know they are discontinued and that kid has them for 800 on ebay, but did they come on special LS? LSE"s? i may be able to find them in a junk yard

well mine is a 2000 and i know they fit , then they came out with the 03 and up and theyre smaller tail lights

yes, 2nd gens did come in all red and two tone (LSEs and non LSEs respectively). gen 1s came in only all red taillights (here in north america). im not sure if any gen 1s in other markets came with 2 tones.

why not just paint yours 2tones. I think the 2 tones look like sh*t anyways......makes the rear look like a older honda civic

cant paint it, its clear lense, i agree with the honda look, but the gen 2s are bigger then the gen 3's so it looks alittle better imo, i just dont really like the solid red on any color ls, im going to paint my ls a silver next year, and i want the 2tone taillights

if I do get 2tone paint on my LS if I do car shows then I'm gonna smoke my rear tains up.....especially since my rear trunk will be black to match.....i plan to smoke my headlights and fogs first....

LJ my understanding is these were euro tails only. Came on all LS's sold over yonder.

they came out here as an aftermarket item then they were discontinued.

The way I see it, someone has to have these somewhere...what happens if a 01 LS in Japan gets wrecked...the laws over there have to have yellow blinkers, so some company has to make them as a replacement...we just have to figure out who, where , when, and why....

i agree, i think im going to go with the all red tails and paint the car that metailic silver next spring, and maybe try the lse conversion

If one does the trunk swap, they would also have to swap the rear bumper. The license plate surround is a different shape, and so is the rear bumper.

good to know, its possible but i dont need 2 tone lights that bad, im just gonna get nail polish remover and clean the paint off them and see if i can polish them back to new, if not ill get some from the junk yard

Outkast, I was gonna say holy :q:q:q:q where'd you buy those!? I want a set like that for mine, but I think all the 2 toned ones have the trunklid "reflectors" like half sized
