When I jack up my car I have play in the wheel when my hands are at 12 and 6 oclock which means bad ball joints right?. Also, when i hit the tire with my hand while jacked up, it sounds loose. I have new tie rods, upper control arms, shocks and springs. The lower control arm ball joints look like they are in great shape though. The boot is not worn a bit. I also made sure everthing was tight.

So I guess my question is, can the lower ball joint still go bad with no damage to the boot? or could this be a hub issue. My car has 128k on it.

sounds like hub...look around the back of it while your moving it and see where the play is...if there is movement in the ball joint, you will see it.

btw..I disagree with the whole 12-6 3-9 thing, my bad hub caused my tire to move...all ways..it basically felt like the lugs were loose

Loose lug nuts is what mine feels like going over bumps. Looks like I will be changing both hubs :X

you guys got aftermarket wheels? and hopefully you got Hub centric rings cause that would cause problems in the wheel if you did'nt get those since many aftermarket wheels can fit our cars..the hubs aren't always exact

I have had this problem with different wheels. I do have the hub centric rings

+1 Yeah.
When my balljoints were bad, I had play all around.
