I have a 2000 Lincoln LS with the stock unit stereo. Alpine. All of the lights on the unit display correctly except for the time and the radio station that is playing. The other lights are fine. Has anyone experienced this problem before? I don't think the fuse is out because the other lights seem to be working. Any help would be appreciated!

Main display of time not working.

There is no setting to turn off the display of the station frequency or the time.
The time display can be turned off by cutting one of the grounding wires at one of the radio connectors (don't remember which one), but that wouldn't stop the frequency display.
It sounds like you have a defective display board. It's usually just a bad solder joint, but sometimes it can be a broken trace or bad VF display.

Would this mean opening up the radio unit and seeing if the ground is detached? Is it possible to open the radio up or is this something more on the back end of the radio where the conectors are located.

Unless you are handy with a soldering iron and electronic troubleshooting, there is no point for you to open up the radio.

Yeah I wasn't sure if the connection was in the back or not. If it is, then i would take a stab at it. But i am definitely not opening up the radio. thanks for the help....
