First off long time no see. Lifes been really busy lately. heres my question I have a 02 V6 with 127k on the clock.Ive NEVER had a tune up other than a fuel filter and PCV valve about 20k ago. What do I need exactly other than plugs and coils? Ive also considered new shocks/struts (whatever they are). Of the 2 which would you do first? Thanks guys.Whats up Hylife hows the AMG?

Hey man, It's fine man, still kickin some ass!

Well, do you have check engine light on of any hesitation in acceleration? If so then yea I would change the spark plugs, cois and the gaskets. If no, I wouldn't really worry bout it right now.

No CEL but sometimes when driving at freeway speeds it feels like it shifts in and out of 5th to 4th gear but it only does this at just the right throttle postion.

All those parts need replacement if they are original. I would do the ignition stuff (plugs and coils) as well as the valve cover gasket first. If you can only do one, do the gasket. at your mileage it is definitely leaking some. The shocks will also need replacement, but that can wait some. They are a DIY job, you'll just need access to a spring compressor.

Thank you sir. I forgot about the gaskets!

HAHAHAHA!!! He called you sir. :D

Man, am I really that old? :p

Reminds me of an incident at work. Mind you the ATC workforce is pretty, um, experienced these days. Over half of us will be forced out in the next few years. My supervisor was looking in our medication drawer and asked why we had Children's Aspirin in the drawer. Without skipping a beat a controller chimes in...... "That's for Jason, Peter, Lindsey......." They are are new-hire young kids. Kind of puts a new perspective on air traffic!
