I hate to bug you about this EMPIRELS but any updates?

probably had problems after messin with the cams. i know after messing with mine i had trouble with the tappets getting chewed up. they have to be shimmed perfectly or else.

I'm a skeptic on the whole thing. First time seeing it, and calling it like I see it, I think it's total fabricated BS. Any machinist that knows enough about these cars to make a cam for one, would be advertising his design and services to all he could and we'de have heard of him by now...
All the machinists I know with the skills for such an undertaking are all too busy busting out too much real work to take the time and set down for all the reasearch it would take without charging several thousand dollars.

you can send your stock cams to crane or comp cams and they will regrind them. i forget how much they said cause it was 3 years ago i talked to them about it. probably what he did, if its not a fraud.
How do you figure it's BS?
You think there's some high demand/ huge market out there for 3.9L DOHC motors?
There's alot more to dropping cams into this engine/ any motor as far as induction, fuel supply, and tuning that isn't available for this vehicle or engine opposed to other engines on the market.

Why wouldn't Crane or Comp Cams OFFER you new lifters and rocker arms to go with your custom cams? I mean hell would they try to get as much money out of you at one time as they can? I would!

i dont know about the v8s but my v6 doesnt have rockers or lifters like your thinking. theres a shim between the cam and the valve spring. they dont offer anything at all for our cars.
