Wouldn't a 190lph pump be better suited for a lightly modded mark? None of the mods I am planning on require extra fuel delivery.

I suppose? But the price difference isn't that great between the two. And a used FPR isn't all that much, should the OEM one go south in a couple of years.

the "volume of the pump" should have no bearing on the pressure regulator, it's just a pressure relief valve.
pretty simple stuff.

I think most people have an ordinary FPR failure and incorrectly "blame" the pump.

i agree, however if your worried about it then upgrade to an adjustable fpr. too easy.
