cleaning the head liner

so there's this nice black spot where my hair rubs on the head liner, yes i do wash my hair daily so don't even start, i work in a machine shop, what is the safest way to clean this?

Unless you fancy a headliner falling like that of an old buick, don't clean with anything but warm soapy water, and only rub in one direction very lightly. This is your only option with no chance of damage

ive used brake clean. at work my hat gets dirty and its left a mark here and there, i just spray some brake clean on a rag and get it out....
