Hey guys, I have a few questions about how the car shifts. (NOT a gearhead so the simpler the explinations the better).

First of all when I shift from park to drive the car "drops" rather violently. Secondly, when driving real slow like in rush hour traffic, i will drive and it will jerk or kick when shifting into 2nd or third. I don't really notice it when accelerating at normal speeds. Car idles fine.

Any suggestions on what it might be?

First- Unplug your battery for a half hour to reset the PCM.
If this doesn't do it, it's probably the valve body and solenoid packing in the tranny.

Do that and your car will start the process of learning your driving style all over. I noticed a difference when I did this to my '03.
