Rev your car in neutral and notice how fast it "runs up the tach".
When you spray in gear it's gonna "run up the tach" faster in gear on spray than it does revving in neutral off the spray.
The first time I sprayed my mustang I thought the clutch blew up because the car "R'd" so fast.
now the suggestion I made about the shift point is based on the SCT software and the time difference between "commanded" and "delivered" shift points.
If it takes the transmission 1 second to fill the accumulator to bring on the next gear then your commanded shift point WILL be about 1K lower than your actual shift point is.
Now with sniper, I dont know if they have this 1K difference "fudged" in the background where you cant see it or how they do it.
In the sct software the actual value is the "commanded" shift point which greatly differs from the "actual shift point".
You might have to drop it more than 500, maybe as much as 1K.
On mine.. commanded shift is at 5800 but the actual shift takes place closer to 7K at WOT.
I'd try a safe and sane 5600 shift point for your "first couple of trips" in drive.
Just to be on the safe side.
If you find the car is "short shifting" on the spray then add the amount it came up short to the shift point..
I would take "baby steps".. you really dont want to smack the rev limiter while on the spray.
I might even go so far as to bump the rev limiter UP a little bit but again, you have to be very careful..and be prepared for "unexpected" stuff to occur.
If it were ME, lol I'd do some "short runs" just to get into the 1-2 shift.. that way your "prepared" to lift if anything goes crazy.
You should be fine without a window switch, but I wouldn't hit the button before 3K.
and you have to realize that when it starts spraying at 3K it's gonna be less than 2 seconds before it RIPS past 6K.
hope some of this helps...
