I'm home visiting family in MS and drove my car 15 hrs from VA. Since I've had my car I've never had this problem that I'm about to explain. The other night me and my cousin were riding and all of a sudden my car stop pulling. We were going up a slight hill and then the rpms jumped up but the car just stalled out and was not going anywhere. I stopped in the middle of the road and the car wouldn't move. I managed to get it in reverse and got it off the road. When I tried to put it in drive a gain, it act like it wanted to die. I cut it off for a few seconds and started it back up and put it in gear and it took. I have begin to notice sometimes it will shift out at a normal rpm. I've been doing some research trying to figure out what the problem is. The car has 81,000 miles on it and was wondering is it time for a transmission flush? If anyone have any idea what this might be, your help would greatly appreciated. I'm not trying to break down when I drive back to VA this weekend.

Did the check engine light come on? Has your car been missing at all lately? Rough idle?

Could be a coil(s) going bad but that seems kind of random if you haven't had it missing or anything like that. Could also possibly be a fuel filter or the pump acting up.

I'm not a pro at this but I'm sure someone else will chime in.
