A couple years ago i put on a kkm induction kit on my 04 v6. Ever since that moment i have heard a high pitched squeal or chirping type noise, usually at high rpm. Could the filter have been over oiled and fouled the sensor or have a leak? I bought the kkm used on ebay. There were no o-rings or gromets of any type and i'm not sure if there was supposed to be. Even when i switch back to my regular k&n i still get the noise now. Performance has not been affected whatsoever but I can't stand the sound anymore. Any suggestions before I buy a new maf sensor?

Exactly what in a MAFS could make a noise like this?

IMO you have a pin hole leak in a hose.

Actually maybe a belt problem of some kind or another.

Beats the hell out of me. That's why i'm asking. It all started after installing the kkm. I've heard the oil in the filter can mess up the mafs... anyone else have an idea?

It can damage it but it wont squeal. Its not physically possible.
