Those regular pipes are called turndowns he was using them instead of the rear muffs. How loud was that???

They would have still been way under the car being that short though, right? How was the exhaust smell inside the cabin?

Yes way under car. Turndowns are mostly used on race cars. It keeps the black exh soot from going str8 back onto the rearend and rear of car. The soot and some of the noise get directed down and back. Race cars don't care about noise ,smell they love it. LOL

When i put it on it just wasn't what i was looking for out of sound and the turndowns made it sound really good but some things came up and i need to sell it. I dont want but if it doesnt go for what im looking for it ill just suck it up and keep it. Smell wasn't bad at all. I couldnt notice anything.

those turn downs look like they go to the axle and thats it.... no exhaust in the cabin
