Found it though. Wow. I would pay that too, honestly. That undercarriage is amazing to look at.

i have to believe there is no ther mark 8's around like this now, that is amazing

$43,000 today is like what $34,000 in 1998?

i want it and would buy it if money was available,

i am sure they would keep it like this condition to sell in 20 years from now but are faced with money needs now and must sell.

its nice, it better be but still wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more money than its worth!

"$43,000 today is like what $25,000 in 1998?"

are you nuts? in this s**thole economy 43,000 in the average joe's hand right now would feel like 2 million. 43,000 is a lot of money, i have a hard time believing that this 98 will be worth 43,000 in 20 years. in 20 years there wont be anything for these cars even used and in 20 years even if it sits for the next 20, its gonna need something repaired, what good will it be when half the stuff doesnt work from sitting and then you cant even fix it, kiss your 43,000 good bye!!!!!

That is one of the coolest things i've ever seen.

I would just sit in it wearing a bib trying not to get any dribble on the plastic covers.

Its only worth what someones willing to pay.

That car is priceless...so 43,000 isnt that far fetched. Consider how much money was spent keeping it in that condition and storing it for the last 11 years, plus the original sale of the car. The owner would probably take less if, im sure. Show up with 30k cash and wave it in his face...would be a hard thing to turn down if they need the $$.

Yea it is nice.....but you could never enjoy it.....ever smile, ever burnout, every cruise you devalue it...but 43 grand is alot of $$ especially today.....ever try to save 43 grand??? its tough...but if money was unlimited you know it'd be in a bag on his floor and the CE would be in my garage :)

hot girl walking randomly in my computer room:"Mr. Richduty455 you have a massive erection"

Me:"Yes yes I do, do you see this car!!"

I dont know. 42k can get you a pretty nice brand new car. But not a brand new Mark. Though the hard part would be deciding to drive it.

It's the only one.... If I had enough money I would buy it and look at it... and then hop in my and drive it when I wanted to drive a CE Mark VIII.... lol

I wonder how much will need replacing though in short order. Rotted air bags, fuel pump, front end bushings....

There have been quite a few CE's sell the past couple years, 2 in particular stick out in my mind:

The white one that was on autotrader with 2 miles. $18k

The red dealership owners personal car with 2000 miles, he wanted $38k

If I had the money I would have bought all of them. I could care less what the econmy says their worth, or what they will be worth in 20 years, to me, a low mileage CE is the holy grail.

I wouldn't be replacing :q:q:q:q.... I would NEVER drive it... I would roll it into the trailer without starting it, drain all the gas out of it and run it dry, push it into the garage and NEVER drive it again.... just look at it :D

But I don't have that kind of $$ so I drive the one I have now....

where is it? i wouldnt have paid that for them back in 98 lol! i love mark VIII's dont get me wrong but they werent even close to being worth what they sold for.

my dad bought an '04 Larriate(?) F-150 with almost all the same features as the Mark VIII; heated leather power memory everything, 10 disc changer, etc. etc. so on and so forth and paid about the same amount.
