Some of the guys in the Mark VIII Club I'm in are setting up a meet at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ on Saturday April 4th. Track opens at 10AM. Anyone from Long Island or NYC we will probably have a spot to meet up and caravan to Jersey together. It would be cool to have a bunch of Lincolns together tearing it up at the track or at least coming to hang out.

Who's down?

I may be in for this, It would be cool to see so many marks run. Gotta check with the boss.

Since it will give me an excuse to see my hot lil girl in the concession stand plus see a bunch of East Coast Marks @ E-town I will be there. Just should fix my damn IMRC before I go this time :p

i may be down! i usalling do my draggin at Island so if something breaks i can get it back with the triple A plus $$$$$ :-)

rich duty, if you want we can drive up together and any other south jersey philly guys.

send me a pm and we'll swap numbers or something, see who's all coming around our way and we'll all ride up together if thats cool.

I'm a little nervous about that too. May not run the gas four hours away from home. I normally don't anyway when bracket racing. Just to show off!!! This is going to be bracket racing right. How does this work at this track. How many passes. At my home track two time runs then start racing. Which normally means I get three passes then go home.

Saturdays are usually test and tune days, with some competition thrown in like the Vette Doctors comp., etc.

Here, from their schedule:

Street Muffled vehicles only. Open 10AM. Test & Tune + TSB + RS + Classic Musclecar Race Series + Corvette Challenge Race Series + CC 8.50 + CC11.50 + Pro Dial Dash Race Series. PTS. SCCA Autocross 8AM Gate 4.

The tech cars. Not like they used to, just let you roll in and ask a few questions and on you went. So if you've got questionable stuff, be prepared to get turned away.

Main thing they will scrutinize is if you have Nitrous on your car. Then they will prolly pop your hood and look around.

Sucks now with my WRX cause if you changed your turbo to aftermarket they make you wear a fire jacket now cause it is considered modifying the fuel system

the part I like is the helmet rule......when i first got my crown vic, i was 18 and went 17.76@72 stock.....i had to wear a helmet.....i go faster on the highway!!!!

With gas you think I need a jacket. Also don't have a bllow off tube for the bottle??? Thats what I've been getting hassled for lately. At t+t they've let me slid though.

I agree on the helmet thing. You don't need one at Atlanta Dragway if you're slower than 13.5, I believe it is.

And you will need a jacket and I believe gloves if you run nitrous. Just don't even hook it up and save yourself the trouble of driving there for no reason.

I would just say "No my car is NA" in tech and run it as they really aren't going to be able to tell at the speeds we will be going anyway.
