I just recently purchased an 02' LS with 40K miles on it to drive daily - i love the car but want to remove the stock chrome rims and go with a 19" rim / trie - I like the ADR m-sports!!!!! however I have not lowered the car and was really wanting to stick with a 235/45/19 tire......this way the overall diameter is close to stock. But it seems this size is limited, and expensive.....if I go with a less expensive size (235/35/19) i will have to lower the car to remove the gap between the fender and tire (overall diameter is smaller)......my concern with the 35 series tire is ride quality........

I would like opinions on what tire size you run, and how the ride rates.....

Thanks to all who provide their input!!!!

I have 245/35s on my 19s - in pothole central New York City - and they've been fine. Certainly not like driving on stock wheels/tires, but that comes with the territory.

245/40 on 19's. Not a whole lot of difference in height:

245/40/19 = about 26.72" total diameter

235/50/17 = about 26.25" total diameter.

235/45/19 = 27.33" Even bigger than a 245/40

The 245/35's will get you smaller than stock (25.75" diameter)

hmmm. I live in the burbs of chicago...hmmmm.. Well i obviously have the same rims as you and i've bent/loseing air 3 times last summer.Though i was running 225/35. Easy fix with a hammer but still..I think its due to the rr crossings honestly.

Got my new/used ones today.235/45..yeah.

That's a pretty damn low sidewall. 225/35 is only about 3" of tire.

Not saying I don't have a couple of wheels that are bent, like I said, it comes with the territory. Hell, my 17s are bent, too with a 235/50-17 tire on them. Doesn't matter what you drive on, sh*t will get bent up in this city.

I drive in chicago once and awhile and no exactly what you mean. Did they just bend or were they losing air? just curious. Also, mine never bent on the face of the wheel, always the back...???

Same here, just the insides of the wheels are a little bent. They never lost air at all. Well, except for the treads of the Pilot Sports that separated from the sidewall on two of them
