Should I Buy these???

You would have to do some cutting and welding... but if you wanted a little bit louder muffler than the Mark had they would do good... I would have a hard time paying more that $40 for them though.
 
i had the 40 series on my 98 for all of about 11 hours and cut them back off, i think flowmasters sound like garbage on a mark VIII but thats only my opinion.

I had three different sets of flowmasters on my 95, each rotted interally in a very very short time.

the mark 8 pumps a large amount of water thru the exhaust and the cheap flowmasters dont live long under those conditions.

I eventually wound of with some dynomax ultra flows that sounded good and lasted a long time.

When I say "rotted out", it was in less than 1.5 years the insides were history and you could see straight thru them.
 
After 400K of various exhaust configurations, towards the end I worked more on getting the car "quietened back down".

"At first glance" that performance sound was "nifty, neat and cool".
I spent alot of money on 3 different exhaust configurations and three differnt muffler combo's.

I have to say now, after the 95 is gone. I "dont miss" all that noise.
I am very much enjoying the quiet LSC stock exhaust.

I didn't realize it then, but now.. I can hear the motor more, and IMHO that 32Valve Symphony is much better sounding when it isn't TRAMPLED ON by the HORN section in the rear.

Those horn guys really drown out the woodwind and flute section.

He did two on my car and one on another houston mark 8.

Nothing wrong with being a proud loud horn player!!!

I have really loud exhaust on the Vic, stock on the Mark... planning on going back to quiet stock exhaust on the Vic....

that pic was from Sealy, we used to have a once a month "car club bash".

We dont go out there anymore, the owner is a moron and killed the bracket racing out there...
We have run at any track within 250 miles of houston.

I'm gonna go to HRP(baytown) this friday and work on getting my tune finalized/dialed in.
