I sent this guy a e mail on this car.
Its in the Mpls craigslist.

First of all, I would like to address any of your questions, and that's why I would like to start with a few details about my car. The car has only 4,801 miles with clean title. Lastly, I need to inform you that my current location is Long Beach, NY now and the car will be shipped from here. Shipping will be done via Dependable Auto Shippers Company and it will take no more then 2-7 working days (depending on your exact location). If you have any questions or would like to see more photos, I will gladly provide them to you. The price is $5,000. I will consider any reasonable offer for this vehicle. The transaction will be made through eBay Solutions for our own protection. Get back to me if you are interested in the purchase!

Its a scam....the pics are copied from e-bay.
No way is he going to turn down 18 k then put it on c-list for 5k

yeah! I was looking around on c-list this morning for a set of cobra r wheels and saw this car in every major city from portland maine to portland oregon:rolleyes: Definatly a scam!!!
 
I think all of us should start spamin him with e-mail like we want to buy it.

LOL...for him to have interest in scamming with a Mark VIII he must be from here on this thread or if not used to be until everyone hated him and chased him out...who knows, he might be reading this laughing thinking it's a joke......

So I need to complete this transaction no later than 31 January. Also the car right now is at the shipping company because someone committed that they will buy the car. I have made the arrangements for shipping, and since the 20th I don't have any reply from this person. All the papers are with the car at the shipping company in a big container and I don't have access to them. I forgot that probably someone will ask me about papers and I didn't make any copies. Sorry if this causes you any problems but the papers will come along with the car. I will send you the car, you test it and inspect it (10 days) and if the car is not suitable for you from any reason, your money will be fully refundable and I will take the car back on my cost.
the shipping to your address is free because I paid the shipping's fee and you don't have to pay anything for it. In 2-7 days you will have the car in front of your house. if you want to continue this deal please give me your accept along with your full name, phone# and shipping address and I will open a case with eBay and they will send you the invoice and guide you through the rest of the process.If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to mail me back.

As of 1/23/2009 the carfax report was corrected and should now be accurate. ALSO. If car meets reserve I will include the following items with original packaging The collectors Edition ingot collection with engraved VIN# that matches car, An original Collectors Edition 4 page brochure, Version#2 (go to www.markVIII.org ) go to home,markviii facts,collectors edition,sales brochures;EACH DEALER ONLY GOT ONE!! A 1998 markviii brochure, 1998 Lincoln exterior color chart, the original Lincoln commitment pack, A DEALERS 1998 Product Portfolio with markviii product info and dealer ordering guide(26 pages), all original owners manuals, both original keys,key-less entry with dealer inventory stock tags and key code tags still attached, the box and packaging for factory phone, original cargo net in original unopened packaging and dated 9/10/96, 4 collectors edition wheel center caps.

Come on. Anyone from New York that can agree to meet this guy or get his real first/last name/address so we can have him prosecuted before he burns someone.

It is our duty as a Mark VIII organization to protect those of us who value this car and the people who drive them.

I know this all sounds like fun and games because you guys are a little savvier than the average bloke, but this guy needs to be stopped and punished.

Someone in NY, please help out. Don't we have a former cop living in Jersey that could help out?
