Ran into a VW GLI at Lunch

Let me start by saying a don't condone street racing, which is why this one only went to 55mph.

Anyways, I was surprised that it had about 1/4 car the whole way starting at a stoplight.

Don't know anything about these cars so I looked and they have been tested at 6.8 0-60, so I was actually surprised by the Mark VIII, considering it was me(220lb), my brother(225ish), and his girlfriend(105lb) in the car VS. the one driver in the GLI.

Anyways, just thought I would share. No significance really, I was just surprised by the GLI, then after reading, surprised with the Mark viii.

i was racing a ragged out ls in my 00 ls and i won but i also got a special prize, a ticket. the officer was nice enough to not smell my fully loaded stomach (beer) and also to not give me a drag racing ticket. 62 in a 35. cops can be nice, also it was almost 5 am and yes my woman was pissed . also no real significance

That's why I don't go above 10mph over the limit on the streets. That still won't help the fact that I'm drag racing though .

I just happened to have pulled up alongside an Audi TT with a bunch of work on it that had been weaving through traffic like an idiot, riding up on people. We went through two lights running a little hard. At the third light we both slammed the gas and I destroyed him by about 4 car lengths to 80 mph. He made an abrupt left and disappeared. So much for a 4 banger turbo.

What year was that TT? Audi claims 6.1 0-60 for the new ones.

Out of curiousity, what kind of car do you have?
