Let me guess.....using NOS?????

You put in parts than can make you run 12's on the LIncoln LS for less than $2500 and you will be a GOD in this Forum.
Please......been there, done, and know what I'm talking about.[

I'm not trying to star an arguement with anyone on here but I think Lincoln meant Luxury Sedan under there breath...

Thats what I thought but hey...there are know-it-alls just looking to start anything on this forum.

you want a car to run, get something else cause this is not the car for racing. Great handler and cruiser but not much else.

People who buy these cars because they're "fast" have never driven a faster car I guess. Either that or they think the LS has a 4.6 and is basically a 4 door mustang, which just ain't true.

If you want speed get a supra. WOW :D youtube it, I seen one blow out a Lambo.

by the way LS can mean anything you want. Luxury Sedan, Luxury Sport, Lexus Subordinate lol

I wish they'd bring back the LS to compete with the IS350/330i and the CTS, what a dream car that would be for previous LS owners. just don't mks the grill lol

The problem with that is, most LS owners bought their LS used. Most of the people that are driving LSes now, wouldn't have the funds to buy a new one if they came out. Although, even with this said I really wish they would. If Cadillac can sell the CTS-V, why can't Lincoln come out with a succesful competitor?

I'll just say that I'd run that trailblazer any day.... and 02's mazda

Lets run. Your 250HP + 125HP NOS will get you at 375HP at the motor pushing 3800lbs.

My Speed6 is running 325 All wheel HP at the wheels with 3400lbs. 6speed and AWD with a 4K launch in the Speed you wouldnt stand a chance in the LS. Plus my bottle never runs out :p

My intention was never to race the LS when I bought it. I just like big cars that are rear wheel drive and the LS has really cool styling! If I’d wanted a car that was big and rear wheel drive that I can road race I would have bought a BMW. But I didn’t want to deal with the price of parts or the up keep. I just thought it could handle itself if need be.

When the LS was around what was it’s major competition? Which Caddy? Which Lexus? Which BMW? The reason why I’m asking is it seems like every car out at that time would have had LS’s lunch and fruit cup!

Very well said.

Well I bought the LS because of it's styling then found out that I could blow out Hondas all day. I would say the LS can hold it's own when need be! No this car wasn't built for road racing but isn't it just fun and a challenge to make it so. I have fun driving my LS. I don't need it to be to fast, just a contender. That is my goal! so some people I am sure just want to make the impossible possible and that's why they mod their LS's!

ok

go find some nice backroads. put the car in SST mode... an whip them coners in 3rd gear.drag racing isnt the strong point. not that some LS's on here arnt drag ready. but idk the LS is more of a twistie, turning car. its like u riding on rails.

Actually, the Trailblazer SS is a 6.0L LS2 in stock form making about 400 HP/400 HP. I actually owned one before coming over to the LS. Had some issues and without a job at he time, had to get rid of it. There are many modded ones out there as well. Stock, they run high 13s, low 14s...slightly modded (CAI, Tune, etc) They can run low 13s all day long. Mildly modded (Cam, stall, etc) they can run 12s easily....

Mine was running a best of 12.7 with engine issues. They are fast for a 5000lb SUV. I miss mine.

BTW, I am an admin of http://tbssowners.com that is how I know this...

My brother has one they are bada$$.

Sorry, stock Speed 6's run 13.5 1/4 miles at the track. You wont beat one especially on a roll. Turbo has more torque across the board than a N/A LS motor will ever put out.

Then again a bad driver in a 6 speed manual can get killed by a Geo. So anything is possible.

do you remember these cars 60-100? they are all top end! And for a car that does have sack but dogs out of the hole.... highway roll is her favorite game!

Very true.

Which is why I bought a project Tahoe that'll be far faster than this LS by the time I get done with it. :D

This is an LS thread right? Quit ragging on my car! I don't care if it can beat a ricer or not. I still think it is a hell of a lot more fun than the minivan it replaced. I can spin the tires and do doughnuts. The windstar would stall at redlights.

Lincoln LSs RULE!

I would agree, the LS is a weak and will never be a kick ass drag racer. With that said, it does handle like a dream and has heated leather seats and lots of room. It's a big car with creature comforts.

I came from a mid 12's SRT-4 and the LS power was sure to disappoint. A few mods later and I am more accepting.

Needless to say this car is a freeway nasty. For a NA car with a little V-8, the only things to get a leg up on me were a turbo civic and a GTI-R swapped Sentra. They only beat me by a half car and me without spray. The LS holds its own and at a 140mph stable enough that I can answer my phone, drink my coffee, and enjoy the warmth of my heated seats. :D

I am proud because it's not an "easy" mod. It's not like this thing was designed with 400hp and were just bumping it up a little. Were modding just to get some respect on the street and I got mine.

^ haha true, but I can do that in a little Cobalt, well, you have to add on heated/massage seats to that sentence for me.
