There is a junkyard here local with a 97ish low mile continental. They want $100 for the heads (pick and pull). but im wondering if its even worth my time to pull the heads off inthe freezing cold for the heads. I might use them, I might not, but for the money I could sit on them a while and decide later. Should i take the time to pull them off, since it wont be easy or fun, or should i just forget about them?

C heads are 99+ C head cars will also have COP's I believe... if it has plug wires they are B heads.

ok it must be newer because it had coils. I know this because i stole the coil covers from it. lol.

Theres some aviator c heads at work... Not sure if it would need new valve guides and all. Im assuming so because it was blowing assloads of smoke and wouldnt run for d1ck.

Yes thats true, but I think he was just trying to help me identify the heads.

Yeah. The valve covers are contoured for the cop covers..Ive heard of people using these navi and avi heads... Whats the flow specs on these compared to say.. a gt or cobra head? Im thinking about robbing the upper end of this avi motor and running some NAWS

Im not real sure on the flow specs. Im sure they are pretty close to the stock mark heads, but that doesnt really matter to me because if Im going to take the time to put new heads on my car im gonna spend some serious $ at the machine shop having them worked over.

Aviator heads are the exact same heads as 03-04 cobra including all hardware and cams.

But is it worth it NA... I can see the value when you want to bolt on a supercharger... but not so much NA.
Yes, it is.C heads specially 03 + heads have lot better power band then b heads.Look at the difference between 96-98 Cobras and 03-04 mach 1s.I've seen bone stock Mach 1 on slicks running 12.9 at the track few years ago.96-98 Cobras run high 13's ,my buddy run 13.4 in his 96 Cobra with intake exhaust and slicks.B-heads work great with forced induction but not so great NA.

Theyre nice but that the main reason why.. Every cobra guy that swaps to a kb or whipple sell their stock or ported eatons for cheap. Then search for a pulley bridge and timing cover?

There is alot of parts needed to do 03-04 cobra conversion.Supercharger doesn't bolt up to the heads like alot of people think you still need a lower intake manifold and intercooler which sits between a blower and intake manifold.look at this mess on the front timing cover

I found a 680hp 03 cobra motor with KB setup for sale. That would be sweet in my mark. 2 bad I dont have $10k.

I know, theres a lot of odds and ends... thats why im leaning toward just a 96 cobra intake and spray.

10K for a complete build up would be a fair price. Just take a look at the cost of the tuner kit from KB with the IC.

I dont care how you look at it, $10k is still $10k, no matter how good of a deal it its. It would be sweet though......
