I went to install my fusion kit and after taking the light housing out to get to the bulb I got a little confused. I didn't take the cover off of the back of the housing to expose the bulb because I didn't see any wires going into the housing for the low beams, but high and turn were all exposed. Not wanting to make more of a mess I backed out of the install and decided to ask members here for more instructions. Am I going to have to splice or behind the bulb cover is there the plug to plug my HID in for power. I have a 06 LS.

the HID ballast plugs into the same place you would normally plug a bulb into. Which means you remove the old halogen bulb from the headlight housing, unplug the bulb, and plug the ballast in to the same socket. Then you connect your HID bulb to the HID ballast. Install bulb in headlight housing, and you're done. Should take like 15 minutes, including mounting the ballasts somewhere.

Pretty sure on 2nd gens you have to remove the dust cap to get to the low beams.
Anyone else know for sure?

I have the regular bigger ballasts on the low beams. Those are just zip tied to the frame right behind the headlights. My fog light light ballasts are the slim digital ones. They are mounted on a piece of frame right next to the radiator. I can take pictures if you like

I didn't realize this was an 06. I for some reason thought it was a gen 1. Either way, the process should be the same.

2nd Gen headlamps are sealed units. There's a sealed hatch over each of the lamps (high and low beam), each held in place by four Torx screws.

I don't know about the Fusion kit, but with the Xetronic Digital units, you have to drill a hole in the housing for the harness going to the ballast (it includes a grommet to seal the hole). Inside the lamp housing, that harness has two connectors: one connects to the low-beam connector in the factory harness; the other goes to the HID lamp. The Xetronic kit included sheetmetal mounting straps, so I used those to mount the ballasts to the front bulkhead, right behind the lamp housings. You could always mount them on the underside of the lamp housings--that recess you see is where the factory HID ballasts live.
