ok i know this is gonna sound wierd (I think) but when I have my wheel turned say all the way to the left and give it drive it a lil but my cars front end feels like its hoping a lil bit. Its been doing this since I got an alignment done recently I believe, but I just started to notice it more recently. Which is about 2 months later.

Also I noticed a bit of power steering fluid underneath my car towards the front and middle of it. I also hear a flaint clicking sound as I turn the wheel. Sometimes I also notice it turning on to a pependicular street ( the hopping of the car a bit)

Cars lowered 1.5, Trac lok that I beat on, addco rear sway, believe the suspension is American Air, its like a coral blue and red colored shock/spring.

Most likely has something to do with the powersteering, but I wanted to throw that extra stuff out there.

The alignment guys were telling me its tuff to get the car aligned because its lowered, they had to turn up all the caster I believe?

Its not a serious issue, but I can tell something is not right...

My 97 does it, most likely because the 97 needs a front end rebuild... Ill let some other guys chime in here tho. I am thinking lower ball joints

all the stuff on my front end is new except the driver LCA. The rack has 90k on it. PS is makes noises but isnt loud.

Sound weird? YA THINK?

Abe, rephrase that wouldja please

For starters, you shouldn't turn the wheel "all the way"
That will screw up your power steering pump, which is probably the source of the noise you mention.

Try again to describe your front end problem...ENGRISH PREEESE?

it's fairly easy to assume that the lowered suspension will give your average alignment guy fits.

basicly none of the numbers are gonna match what his machine wants to see.

There are adjustments in the suspension, but they dont likely have enough adjustment to compensate for the lowered springs.

the mustang guys overcome this with "camber and caster plates", sadly we dont have that option.

..

More than likely you ran out of CAMBER adjustment.
Caster is the degree off centerline of the spindle "fore and aft"...

when you lower a car the camber changes much more than the caster would, and I really dont see caster being affected so much actually.

But there is far far less caster adjustment than there is camber as well..hell you might have ran out of both..camber and caster.

Check yo strut rod bushings foo. Mine did that. The strut rods are the source of caster adjustment and when the bushings go so does your alignment... Get OEM bushing BTW. I messed with poly moog bushings.

your car had the hops like that while making sharp turns? I'll have to check them out.... I replaced my subframe and strut rods etc, and when I had them out they looked good?

As for my exhaust I have a custom 2 and a half with magnaflow dual in dual out muffler.... i gotta change my sig sorry.

its similar to the way my jeep cherokee is when I put it in four wheel drive and try to make a sharp turn... the front will hop. But not as noticable... jeep is rough

I think mine does the same, it feels like it's dancing left & up & down & I can hear the tires sliding along with the hop. It's even more noticeable in reverse. I just thought they all did that, all 3 of mine have. The 98 is barely noticeable though.

I wont gaurantee but Have somebody look at your front wheels while youre slowing going in reverse then stomp on the brakes and see if the wheels move significantly... If so. Strut rod bushings. Its VERY common on all mn12's for the bushings to wear. Just make sure you install them properly or it will be the same as if you didnt do anything. Oh yeah and you have to remove the LCA to get them off. :D

gotcha ill check that out tomorrow thanks.. I took the pictures because the wheeels when theyre cocked one way or the other look a lil funky. Toe I would assume.

Also this issue just noticed stuff with the ps fluid starting to leak so I imagine they go hand in hand somewhat. So if its not my strut rod bushings I would imagine its something in that department? Probably won't know till I get it up in the air.

Eh, my Mark does it too... I'll rebuild my front end one of these days... Just did it on my 223K miles GT... Don't feel like doing it again for a while, lol

I replaced the lca and uca sway bar end links already....lowered coil conversion I'm hearing some clicking when u turn the wheel

The wheels still stand straight, I believe my ball joints are okay for now. It will definitely get rebuilt soon.

I did that reverse break test to check the tires, everything is copesetic. Maybe it's my diff, I did a nice burn out the other day and one of the wheels looked like it wasn't hooking as much as the other.

What indicates that your clutches are going? I'm assuming thats a give away but I could be wrong.
