Who's going? June 9th. at the gm tech center. Me and my brother are going. Lets get a few people together.

The 9th is a Tuesday, we should be back from Carlisle by then.

That's always been the reason I didn't go to the power tour, they always have it the same time as Carlisle.

I did run into 2 Mark VII's and a Mark VIII from the tour, on the way home from Carlisle 2 years ago though.

What will be happing at the tech center? Is this just a stopping point?

I think its one of the stops. Im only in for one leg of the tour.

It is a stopping point, but they will allegedly have stuff for us on the campus. As explained to me by the GM guys, they cannot allow us in the buildings, but he will be having all their departments set up booths for us to go check out what they are working on (and are allowed to show us).

We'll see if GM still exists come June.

Interestingly enough, I'll be there again next year. I know I met a bunch of you guys in Madison last year, looking forward to having you out again, and this time I'll be sober :)

I'm thinking of making the trek.... its a long drive from MN though.

Since you're in MN you might as well just come along on the Power Tour. Last year in Madison there was about a half dozen Mark VIII guys from LVC.

I roll with a bunch of Mark VII guys and we NEED more Mark VIIIs.

Here is a map of the route, I'm sure it will not be on the interstates but here are the stops if anyone wants to join in.

They usually pipe us around on state highways & two lane roads on the official route. Many power Tourers will use the highways anyways and just try to get to the next venue as quickly as possible. I usually follow the route (and am usually among the last at the venue), but it's good fun either way.

Cool...

I would have gone on last years but time just didn't allow it.

I figure they stay on fun state hwys... it sure would be boring to be on the I system..

do any LS's go, My mom still lives in Southfield, MI and that would be an added incentive for me to drive home in the summer.

Last year there was one, not one of us, but just there. It was a five speed with 20" rims, IIRC.

Definitely. Come on out. Your LS will turn more than a few heads when you smack everybody else at the autocross.

carlisle might be an option for me i wil drive the cobra and have someone else drive the mark i dunno have to see what is going on then hopefuly i will be able to make that meet if nothig else with the cobra

Hopefully I have my rear bags in by then... Sensor lowered on 03 cobras with spray.. and some body work.
