2004 not covered under extend VCG warrenty

yup took the Lincoln to dealer was there about an hour... they called me and said there computer says the VCG replacement is only covered for 2003! what BS i hate the Stealer ship!

So you blame the dealer for a manufacturer policy?

Actually, the dealer possibly is wrong:

I know they are wrong but don't feel like wasting my time...

they will probably replace my VCG's and they will still leak... i'm just going to do it myself... the service writer said he might be able to get me cost reimbursement for the coils I bought off ebay.. so if he can do that ill replace the VCG's myself....

GCWimmer, read that again. It says it covers the ignition coils. Says nothing about valve cover gaskets.

LS4me same to you, READ it. 2003 - 2005 model year Lincoln LS and Ford Thunderbird vehicles equipped with 3.9L engine - Extended warranty coverage on ignition coil assemblies, and on 2003 model year (MY) vehicles only, engine valve cover gaskets .
