over the last couple of weeks occasionaly while driving ill see the lil red brake! light flash in the lower left hand corner of the dash. I checked to make sure my emergency brake was not half way depressed. and the fluid level is fine, and there seems to be no leaks anywhere. what could be causing the brake icon to flash intermediatly like that? any ideas would be appreciated.

My 98 does this too, but the brakes work great, fluid is fine, and the emergency break is off....

my 98 did this too, replaced the parking brake switch by the pedal, never happened again

My red car did that. I've got a bad fluid level switch in my brake fluid tank. I disconnected the wire to it, and it stopped coming on. The fluid level is fine.

you might be able to adjust the brake switch by the pedal, sometimes they move a bit

At least now I have a couple of things to check, it just never really annoyed me enough to try and fix it.
