Come on Demorats. Defend this. Defend your Hitler wannabe.

"The Barack Obama campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading TV ad during the presidential campaign."

The civil war is coming way faster than I thought.

Do the people of Misery have the balls to throw them out on their butts. What happened to the liberal ideals of FREE SPEECH. Oh, only if it is their speech. Got it. Using their positions of authority to threathen ordinary citizens. Liberal prosecuters and cops are going to decide what the truth is. Not in this Country.

"We're going to tell people Obama is a Christian and he wants to cut your taxes". LOL

Come on. Defend Away.

Obama gets landslided in this election.

Spread the video link to everyone.

Watch the "Misery" comments bud!

I for one don't care for the mud-slinging and lying, no matter who it comes from. Spend your time focusing on what your plans are for our future, not pointing out the problems in your competitions plans. We, the American people, my not be the smartest people in the world, but I believe we're pretty good at realizing bull:q:q:q:q when we see it.

The fact of the matter is, this election is going to be won on the prejudices of the American people. Let's face it, there are a lot of people that don't want to see an African-American president, but at the same time, there are a lot more minorities who normally wouldn't vote, doing so, just because of Barracks race.

At the same time, there are a lot of people who don't want to see a woman in office as well. So those voters might likely vote for Obama just because. The American people need to decide what is more important to them, our economic crisis, our "war on terrorism", or our simple-minded prejudices.

This is going to be an election for the history books, I just hope that whoever the Presidential candidate is, that they get some things straightened out so we can breathe a little easier.

I'm still waiting for a third candidate to pop-up at the last possible minute.

I'd love to see foxpaws weigh in on how the Democrats view her First Amendment rights now...

Well, I haven't seen any other coverage on this - so I will have to hold off a bit to see if it really comes from 'on high' or just some over enthusiast locals trying to do good.

Obama's campaign machine is trying hard to lose this election for him. Bad group.

I still stand on the Dems view of 1st amendment, as a whole. Just as the Republicans have bad apples, Dems have their bad apples too.

This election I am voting platform, war stance, and history. A really, really sucky way to go. Although, Obama did pretty good in the debate - I was pleasantly surprised, I saw his debates in the primaries, and he has learned a lot. But, that said, I still didn't hear anything new, or really much in the way of decisive direction from either candidate, except about the war.

I am with hotrod - a viable third party would be nice.

With the emphasis on the viable. When I was young and dumb, I voted for Johnson because people said that Goldwater was to 'hawkish'. Then I decided that I'd better find out things for myself. I refuse to waste my vote by looking to someone who, realistically, has no chance. This time, I find myself going mostly against Osa---oops---Obama, because I can't really get very enthusiastic about McCain.
KS

foxpaws, how is this for a track record by the Democrats so far this election?

You can't whine about lack of coverage now. The governor of Missouri himself has weighed in.

By the way, this is true blue FASCISM.

Missouri governor goes nuclear on Obama for using prosecutors on campaign “truth squad”

Oh, now. Would people really refrain from criticizing Obama just because they fear being, er, sent to prison for it?

This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

More at the link. Needless to say, no one actually has to be prosecuted for this to work. Prosecution will be impossible anyway in most cases thanks to the First Amendment. The point isn’t to jail critics but merely to price the cost of prospective litigation into their decision on whether to publicly criticize The One. Add this to the threatening letters his lawyers sent to station managers over the NRA ads, the flash-mob smearing of David Freddoso, and the appeal to the Justice Department to prosecute the American Issues Project for its perfectly factual yet devastating Ayers ad. Oh, the fun we’ll have with a deep blue Congress and an Obama-run DOJ and FCC. He promised you a “new type of politics,” didn’t he?

Click the image to watch.

Well, I still haven't seen anything else on this, the truth squad - like on national news... even Fox... I know though, that Blunt is a bit wacky. It still sounds like local politics gone astray... Stupidly so. Obama needs to lasso in the grassroots movement some.

However I can at least answer to the Civil Security Force... You can even see it on a pretty conservative site - American Thinker...
http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/07/obamas_civilian_national_secur.html
It isn't a police force - it has to do with making more groups like the Peace Corps, the America Corps, VISTA... it stems from his community organizer background.

But, gosh, you can't beat the one clip on youtube that has Obama's speech and then the clone army from Star Wars...

Let me get this straight. You're waiting for this to be shown on national news for you to believe it? The fact that the local news reported it has no credibility with you?

And your response is that the governor of Missouri is insane?

You're in deep denial. I wonder if you're able to look at this rationally, given your ties to the Obama campaign.

Have you even bothered to google this?

It's called "shifting the burden of proof" or "moving the goalposts"...

I must laugh greatly.... Like either campaign would send a 'paid' someone here mr monster. I don't think there are many minds to be changed here - and the 'population' of the site, especially people who use the political forum is a little small.

And I spend more time discussing the constitution with Shag than trying to convert you guys. Like I could... :D . I like the debate more actually. I feel like I bang my head up against the wall with a lot of the other discussions, doesn't stop me though does it ;) . Hey foss, eventually I will become so muzzy from constant head banging that I might be able to be assimilated :) .

That is why I joined, small site, likes cars, had a couple of good debaters, maybe make some online friends. You keep looking for hidden agendas... I really don't have any.

But, I digress I (she) am not an Obama blogger...

So, foss, I did google it - that is why I questioned it, only conservative sites... and KMOV. And I do question the news, you question the news all the time on this site - I just was looking for an additional news source.

I believe that these prosecutors and sheriffs are doing this, that isn't in question for me, I am questioning where they got the direction to do this STUPID thing, it sounds like local politics gone amuck. They obviously have done it - I am questioning the reason why.

Not 'shifting the goalposts' shag, looking for some additional information. I really do try to look at more than one source on something like this. I have stated over and over that I think the media is biased, I wanted to see another news source.

My ties to the Obama campaign are: I have volunteered to work on the phones and canvas door to door to get people registered to vote. And, I answer questions if they have any while there. After the registration deadline passes here in Colorado (October 6th) I won't probably do very much. I like to 'get out the vote'.

Another digression - the other night I was on the phone with a pretty obvious McCain supporter, but he had lots of questions, and was very nice and polite. After about 1/2 hour on the phone with him, I sort of needed to wrap it up and continue on with the list, he thanked me for letting him take lots of my time, so I couldn't make any other calls. Pretty clever... a tactic you might want to use. Or you can do what a couple of very lonely guys (or seem to be very lonely) have done, talk a lot and then ask me what I am wearing... yuk....

And why should Bryan (Mr Monster?) be playing poker?

Because, unless you've told him the same thing you've told me, his guess about you being a paid blogger is remarkably close (albeit not exactly correct) to the truth. Remember, Salon.com?

Is it OK we discuss pm's out here foss? :(

So, I guess I need to discuss this out here now, I would rather not though...

I haven't written Bryan...

A friend of mine (a rather conservative corporate attorney for a major brewing company) knows one of the editors at Salon. He sent her a couple of things I have written, unbeknownst to me, thinking they might be interested, or that I might be interested. I heard back from Salon, and that is when I wrote Foss, privately. I wrote him because he had stated on one of the threads that he was involved with newsbusters.org, michellemalkin.com, and hotair.com, and I wanted to find out what he did for them, and if he enjoyed it.

Ever heard of newsbusters.org, michellemalkin.com, and hotair.com?

It doesn't pay much, and I was interested if Foss enjoyed writing for the sites that he mentioned - newbusters, et al, because sometimes enjoyment can offset small compensation.

I haven't written anything for Salon, and probably won't. It just isn't that interesting to me. I had however offered to send some of Foss's work to them, if he was interested. I like his writing style.

So, I don't get paid for this, on this site or anywhere else, (however there really hasn't been anywhere else, unless you count the little Allante site, and writing about the mods I have done on the caddy, perhaps I am better suited to that instead of trying the political stuff here) I haven't been tasked with this, I am doing this because, up until this point I have enjoyed this.

Is it that hard to believe, someone who writes OK, has an opposing viewpoint, isn't afraid to mix it up a little, would like to do it because she enjoys it? Isn't that why all of you do this?

This I did not enjoy. And I did not mean to make this about 'me'... sorry.

Don't work yourself up into a lather. (Unless it is in the shower, then by all means, suds away.)

I was just taking a stab in the dark, so to speak.

Never been to Salon. Always get my hair cut by the hot babe at SuperCuts. :D

I wasn't going to discuss your PM to me, foxpaws. But you wanted an explanation, so I gave as little info as possible.

For what it's worth, I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of. I would be honored to be asked to write for a website.

You know women can't keep a secret. She was dying to tell us. I know she feels much better. All that stress of living the double-agent life. Hard to bear.

FWIW, I thought your post revealed very little of what Foxpaws has been up to.

And btw, I'm pretty good at poker. My best man taught me the ropes having played many, many years with the likes of Hellmuth and Cloutier before Hold'em even made it to TV. This was back in late 80's, early 90's.

I still play occasionally on line.

Would be fun to get a bunch of us (conservatives only, lol) on line in the same poker room playing each other even it it was for bragging rights only.:D

Indeed. I've got a pokerstars account...guess what my screen name is.

Do you think the Salon.com line would just lie there, without much speculation? Foss - I would have thought you could have enlightened me by PM, about what you meant.

But, yep - I was flattered - except by the renumeration...

I am terrible at poker, but always quite popular at poker games depending on what the stakes are.;)

So, I'll continue my subversive ways, and continue to report back to M5, the Minbari, the Borg, the Peacekeepers, the Alliance, and even the New Caprica Police on everything I find suspicious.

Minbari and the Peacekeepers! NICE! Let's see who gets those frelling references!!!;)

BTW, I think u forgot Lord Vader, The Nebari Establishment , The Scarran Imperium and The Guild of Calamitous Intent. :p

You nerds are out of my league. :D

And I will repeat myself, foxpaws. I wasn't going to elaborate until you asked. When you asked in the open, I assumed you were okay with my explanation being in the open.

I promise not to reveal that you're really a bodysnatcher.
