where is the computer control module that has the key pad code on it.... looked the most popular spots and cant find it... any ideas...

I went through this when I bought mine. The dealer has to plug into the computer to find the number. It cost me $30.

stealership wants 80 bucks here.... the owners manual says its on a computer control module... i'm thinking it the one that controls the locks... i think it is behind the driver door panel....

i would like to know where before i start ripping the hole car a part

Door module is inside the drivers door. Shouldn't be hard to find once you get the panel off.
There is also a FEM (front electronic module) behind the drivers kick panel.
And the REM (rear electronic module) in the trunk by the battery. If you haven't, check those too.

Has been discussed in depth, no one has been able to find original code other than on a credit card that came with owners manual and a rare build sheet in the trunk on a hinge on early build LS, a dealer read.

Good luck in your search.

I know the manual says it's on the computer module, but according to the dealer and people on this site, you need to plug into the computer to find it.

I think on the module means IN the module. Too bad it's not on a sticker in the trunk like my T-Bird. It would be nice if you could disable the auto locks with the keypad too. I don't want to go back to the dealer for that. At least the manual shows you how to disable the seatbelt chime.

not saying you guys are wrong but this is strait from the owners manual

"The keypad can be operated with the factory set 5–digit entry code; this
code is located on the owner’s wallet card in the glove box, is marked on
the computer module, and is available from your authorized dealer."

Again good luck in your search for the factory code on any of the modules.

The main computer is on the passenger side behind the glove box on the fire wall.

Save your self time and get it read.

If you do a search on keypad code you will see.

It's not on the car anywhere. A ton of people say it is but I have yet to hear someone say they found it.
On cars like the Continental and Town Car it's found but not on the LS. It only comes on a little card that is in the Owner's Manual and can only be pulled by an FLM dealership. If you happen to dig around and find the mysterious control module with the code then please do start a thread on it but until then, try using search beforehand since this topic has been covered numerous numerous times.

FYI you might be able to save some $ and ask them to pull the code for free next time your car is in for service at an FLM dealership.
