going to test and tune

I guess. I don't worry about R/T unless I'm racing brackets. I usually try to concentrate more on launching the car right. That became the norm for me with 400hp, a T5 trans and 4.10s on steet tires in my old LSC. Used to run brackets all the time when it was an AOD. lol

they have competitions for RT at the track up here. Kinda fun. I agree if you don't KNOW what your doing don't even pay attention to it. Concentrate on whats your doing. RT doesn't affect ET

Few of the guys at the track here were trying to get me to do the bracket thing. I race spring and in fall, not summer.

bracket racing is wierd..... all friggin games played by experienced drivers.

"my car runs a 15 so i'll dial a 16 and then dog the run at the end so i barely beat you......"

BS heads up or nothing now! I like the way pinks does it

My 60's were 2.4's

i dont heat the tires up at all. i drive around the burnout box. i have ALL SEASON yokohama avid TRZ 215/60/16's lol i think that might be a problem! i want to get some new tires though forsure

Launching wise i normally hold the brake and give it gas. last night i was between 1000-1500rpm. light goes and i put it down.

i didnt let it cool down that much at all. so that mightve also been an issue, plus the lines were long as hell.

Yeah 2.4s are bad. So I guess you were spinning alot?

I agree don't heat them up, shouldn't have to unless the track is real bad.

Cooling will help alot.

yea, sometimes i just dont think this thing can do any better though. its like the power just ISNT there yet.

Oct will bring better times, no doubt!

Yes but you can get your 60' down without cold weather and that will greatly improve your time. Practice so when it gets cold you are ready.

Get there early and cool it down some, you don't want it to the point where the thermostat is closed thou. Try to get to the line as cool as you can, doesn't do any good to cool it down and then sit in line for 20 minutes heat soaking it. That means pushing it sometimes in the staging lanes.

You have to get the launch down, practice. My times took some practice and I have a routine that I stick too.

yea. i was so jealous of this 68 camaro that was there. was blue with white stripes. this thing sat with me in every line, running. prolly 40 minutes of just sitting. he shut it down at tech and that was it. finshed tech and i went and let her cool down. he goes to the lights and runs a 12.2! i was hating him haha.

i almost want to do the electric fan mod. just so i can hardwire a switch into it and turn them on myself, let her cool down that way.
