chamber kit?

Oh, camber kit. Not chamber kit. I had no idea what a chamber kit was. Very confusing. And no I've never used one.

Anyone else?

I have cam bolts that I got from RockAuto. Some people on here insist you don't need them. I put them in to avoid any possibly problem with the alignment. Look nothing like that link, though. The ones I have go front to back through the lower control arms.

camber

camber is very important and crucial if u lower ur car....ive burned my front tired down to the were twice in less than 6 months...ive ran thru 4 tires cuz i didnt know what the problem was.... soon enough i figured out my car was out of camber...i am riding on stocks till i get the money to fix the problem :(

Thats what the place who has alligned my car over 5 times in the past 3 months said i need for it to be corrected.

yep, you need it sometimes without lowering. you will need it almost always if lowered. I have a set in the front (from ford) but not in back. just wore through a set of tires but i just had it aligned yesterday and the toe was way out after lowering. even with 2.1 degrees negative camber, the alignment guy said you'd be surprised how little wear the camber was causing. I'll just keep an eye on it.

as described in my thread i have same issue and like nycls8 i am going to have cam kit installed i have $800 rear tires so its a must. i went through ford and part is $59 per wheel plus labor. but talked them down to $44 per ...
FYI search your parts on http://directfordparts.com i believe and ford always matches their price for me... it comes in handy. I always prefer a ford part over any randompart........

NYCLS8,, did you get camber within spec with your kit??

I believe so and if not, it was as close as it was gonna get. I'll see if I can find the sheet when I get home later.

This was the first alignment we did last May:

after camkit??? my printout looks like a christmas tree..my caster is off both wheels. our camber is close. im getting a shimmy at higher speeds,,Caster... the cam kit adjusts cam right????

Yeah, just camber. Like I said, it's been aligned since then, so I'm not sure if it's dead on or not. I can't remember and don't have the print out. We were kind of pressed for time when we did it the first time, since we had to put the cam bolts in first. As long as it was close, I was fine with it.
