Got too many tickets in too short a time. I've been spending all day doing the stupid online defensive driving thing. If I never speed again it won't be because I learned something. It will be because I can't bear to go through this stupid course again!

How many other people have enjoyed this?

I've done it, it sucks but beats paying a lot of money over here in NJ.

All they want is the money... I was ordered to take traffic school, all i did was pay for the class and never attended... its been like 4 years since and i never had any problems and i have been pulled over, nothing outstanding in my name.

That is too bad, offensive driving was working so well for you.

There's a little trick you can use to not get any more tickets. A lot of people don't know about it, but it works very well. It takes some practice, and some patience, but it really pays off...

Don't get caught. :p

I usually don't, but I changed jobs and haven't figured out all the places they hide on my new commute yet.

I'm glad you said don't get caught instead of don't speed. That would just be rediculous.

I've had the class... twice! I've also had my license suspended in MO for too many speeding tickets in a short time. Lost it for 3 months right as I turned 21. Pretty sure my MO record said "problem driver".

I came to AR 3.5 years ago and I've had 3 speeding tickets in AR, 1 in MS, and 2 in MO in that time. All that and a DWI and a "driving while suspended for DWI"......

Perhaps I have a problem....

All together in my 10 years of driving I have accrued around 15 speeding tickets. My traffic violations have cost me in the neighborhood of $5,000, 48 hours in county lock-up, 10 days house arrest, 2 days of community service, and I will never get a "warning" again!!

Yes, it would appear I do have a problem.

Wow man, time to calm down, especially don't drink and drive, it's never worth it. I've gotten my few speeding tickets here and there; ever since then I've calmed down a lot.

Finally finished the entire thing and the test. Apparently, if someone is tailgating you are supposed to change lanes. I haven't had that problem as nobody is stupid enough to catch up to me.

What is a good mid-range radar/laser detector?

Don't buy cheap detectors. Get a good one from the start. I use a Valentine One and it works great, I really like the arrows that point in the direction of the radar.

Ticket

+1 Valentine.

I got a little bit on you! My first ticket was for 'drag racing' on Woodward Avenue. Had to go to a JPs office and pay $10. 1958. :)

Agreed!

I have seen the light, and the errors of my ways.

Funny thing is: I still get a "safe driver" discount on my insurance.

Not sure how that works but I am not about to complain or change insurance companies for feer of a massive rate hike.
