why me???????????

lmfao this has been a tough month or two for you man. Doing 60 in a 40 is a little reckless though. The only places around here you can go 40 in I don't find myself going that fast. On the open highway is the only place I'll do 20 over the speed limit.

How did you get caught? Aircraft? Cop on the road? Radar? Laser?
 
Yes, aircraft - I've been caught once by a helicopter in the air signaling a trooper on the ground.
 
Around here I believe going 20 over is grounds for a reckless driving ticket. Not sure though. Still, in the 40mph areas around here I rarely go 40 if any higher. On the highway the limit is 55, but my normal cruising speed is 75-80 so go figure. At least on the highway I can *usually* see cops and I know the spots they hide in too. Plus theres no risk of anyone jumping out in front of me. I'm by no means a featherfoot but I was just saying a 40mph zone might have more traffic/incoming side streets and possibly pedestrians, who knows though.
 
Wow, police very rarely actually use aircraft to catch speeders. The cost of operating an aircraft is high, a helicopter is even higher, and (at least here in NM) both officers have to show up to court if you take it to court. They probably operate at a loss when using helicopters.

they use helicopters all the time in the metro area of MN mostly on I94 and 35w
