digital dash Help

[Glorywagon]

On my 81 Mark Vi going down the road the digital dash starts blinking and beeping at me.Kinda like a bad ground. Mostly in the message cluster. The speed o will kick between metric and standard. Sometimes the message center just goes blank. What You all thank? I done a search on here and did not find anything . Thanks Danny

make sure the ribbon connector behind the instrument cluster is tight. This connector can be fragile.

How you do that? I have another one on a parts car maybe its good. I'm afraid of breaking something.
