does anyone know what size the sway bar is on a 01 v8 non sport or is there different sizes

Off hand, I do not know that actual sizes of the front bars, but I do know that the 2001 Non Sport and Sport are different sizes. The V6 bars are also different in size.

I do know that all rear bars for all LS's made in the history of the world are the same 18mm.

Maybe we can find out all 4 sizes and post them in this thread. Maybe even the part number for the replacement bushings that worked. Where they different from gen 1 and gen 2?

I know that the 2000 NON-SPORT V8 is 27mm

i have an '02 v8. i didnt take a measurement from where the bushing sits, but in the middle of the bar, and the outside edges i got...

Front = 1.250" or 31.75mm. Chrome bumper trim, no SST

there is a whole thread on this called "sport?" or something like that. some cars had every option such as chrome and wood shifter/wheel and all the sport optionts too (SST, sport shocks and sport bars), but they were technically not sports i guess.

So that makes what I read in another thread wrong. That the non-sport is 4.75mm bigger. WTF I guess I will have to measure later.

I read on motortrend or something like that. that tthe sway bar was 31mm on the v8 non sport gen1 and the rear on all ls's is 13mm but im not sure i fthat info is correct because it wasnt posted on lincoln's website.

i thought people on more than one occaision said the non sport was 1.125 (or 28.58mm). i havent seen one so i cant say what they are for sure. i could confirm sport by measuring my brothers bar (known sport) with calipers, but ours look identicle. you would notice an eighth inch size difference just by looking.

there is some variance as you go, its not a precision piece. +-.01" or so. the shocks are the biggest difference anyway.
