Just wondering if anyone heard how well the Verde rims are. I cant seem to find any complaints about them. Also seen them on a few Mustangs and such.

the only thing about the 'lips' on less expensive wheels is, they're usually clear coated, and once a rock chip occurs it starts peeling like sunburned skin. I don't know if they're clear coated or not, but I thought about that after I sent you a pm.

Thats good to know. I have a shop that can do everything from re-dip metals to powder coat. For the price I am looking at I am not expecting longevity. If I get two years out of them I will be happy.

Anyone got the lest expensive place online to get rims? Ya.... I am being a cheap a$$.

OK.... so black (which I prefer) or chrome?

They must be decent wheels, because when I went to order the Verde Kaos wheels for my car, they were back-ordered 45-60 days.

No opinions? Even "those are fugly you idiot, what are you thinking!!!" ?

:)

Think I will actually go Chrome.

Id think black would look better. Theres just too much going on with the chromies. IMO

Thats what I am thinking. Chrome is over done and why I first licked the black. Plus there will be no chrome to flake off.

I dunno. The Mark will be getting painted Mercedes silver. I think black would make a good contrast or I could get the painted to match the car.

Well at least I settled on the style I want! lol

If you could get the center painted to match the car, that'd be my vote.

Keep in mind that in person neither the chrome nor the black wheel will look that 'brilliant' .. they get the lighting just right to make those glow for those pics.

My votes for black too... chrome is cool but there's so many chrome rims on the road that black just stands out nice specially with the lip... that's what I want... Mercedes silver would look awesome too!!... I want to do something similar I"m thinking of flat charcoal gray with the same kinda rims... the only thing holding me back besides the money is I don't want everyone thinkin my car's just primered... my friend got his car murdered out cept his rims... and everyone keeps asking when he's gonna finish painting it... irritates him a lot!!

mannieg went with 235/40/18

Looking for a tight profile. If I was concerned with ride quality I would not be lowered! :)

Well crap... well not really.

I placed an order for $540 from CustomWheelsMarket.com and it was rejected because it was not available for vehicle specs. ???? WTF!

So I did a search "verde exodus 5x108" to make sure they came that way.

Well, that worked out well. I found that JK Motorsports (wheelsandspinners.com) had a set for $340!!!!

Shipping is killer though at $122. Most are about $80.

That makes the order $462.88

Still saved a decent amount!

Dang... might not be getting them. Verde discontinued the 5 x 108 pattern a few months back.

Figures, I settle on a wheel I like and now I have to start from scratch. Thank god the tires where not ordered yet incase I go with a different size.
