Actually I beg to differ. I do allot of work on Mustangs and the 4.6 SOHC and DOHC engines. I have heard many combo's with the 4.6 and have to say that it is hard to tell the difference between the exhaust note of my LS and a N/A 4v 4.6 Mustang Cobra with light exhaust work. That was one of the pleasant surprises after having done the turbo system on the car because I wasn't expecting the exhaust note to sound as close as it did. Overall a very nice exhaust note in my opinion. Not too aggressive or raspy in the least but you sure as hell know it is not stock. While it may not be common, these sort of results can happen.

But that is a totaly different story. We are talking teh same exact combos on both cars and as it is clear you are still the only one with a turbo kit:) .


I would only assume the more power you are putting out the more its going to sound like the more powerfull car not?

Well I was going to too. However, I decided to throw a turbo on for awhile. :)

Ordered all the stuff couple days ago. Robert is helping me out alot. Good man.

I am not the only member on here with a turbocharged LS anymore. ;) A certain fella on here has his LS in my garage. I am doing the finishing touches on a custom turbo system for his 03 LS. If he decides to peek in here then I will let him announce himself. If not, then I will let him remain anonymous. A few redesigns that I learned from doing the initial system on my car have been implemented on his. His system is better than what I refer to as my Generation 1 system. I also remade my personal system too so now I am running what I consider the Generation 2 turbo system for the LS as well. His car should be one badass ride once it is all buttoned up here in a few days. :cool: I also changed the specs on his turbo a little too compared to mine. Should allow better power without sacrifice of boost response. A "certain" member on here is getting that special turbo as well... ;) :cool:

Even at idle and part throttle where the turbo is not even really spooling much is where the car sounds VERY similar to the various 4.6 Mustangs I have ran across. At WOT it does sound mean also, but the sound is overall very similar across the range.
 
I actually wanted to talk to you about this special turbo opposed to yours.... Ill talk to you about it later.
