Will these bulbs fit my 04 factory HID lights

those are cheap bulbs. just bite the bullet and get some good bulbs from lskoncepts

No, those absolutely WILL NOT work. Those are halogen 9006's. Every stock xenon system either uses D2S bulbs (projector lense headlights) or D2R bulbs (reflector type headlights). The stock LS xenon headlights use D2R bulbs since they are reflectors.

Ok,
got a D2R bulb at Pep Boys for 14.99

Thanks guys

Who made it? What color temp? I am extremely suspicious of a D2R bulb that costs $15. A single, good quality D2R bulb is somewhere in the $50 - $75 range. I would suggest anything from Phillips (the Ultinon series if you can afford it). And since you're lucky enough to have the factory xenons (I love mine), please stick with 4,300k bulbs, nothing else compares in light output.

This is what they gave me.
The guy looked it up in their charts.

I think this a halogen light.
I'll take it back and see if they have
the right one for HID.

Yeah, thats not the right bulb bud.

That sucks.

I already ordered 1 from Advance auto for 138.00.
It will be here tomorrow.
Sorry Ken.

What about when doing a retrofit with the 2000 LS? Does it just take a 9006/9005 or do I need those?

Ya,
I only needed the one bulb.
It's a long story having to do with my Angel Eyes.
They put an aftermarket HID in for me at Lightwurkz
as I hadn't realized one of the 2 extra lights I bought on Ebay and sent to them was a factory HID.
I didn't like the aftermarket one as it would take a few times turning it on and off(?)for it to stay on and I wasn't thrilled with the blue color.
So I bought another factory HID and cut it apart and put in the angel eyes.
(I'm getting good at that having now cut the lights apart and put them back together myself 5 times, I could write instructions).

That light had the factory white light and it had been so long since I got the lights back from Lightwurkz I couldn't find if they had returned my original white HID bulb.
So I did'nt want to spend money and wait for 2 lights when I only need one.

The HID Conversion kits use just your normal bulb size like 9006 or 9005. The cars with the FACTORY HID's use the D2S/D2R bulbs.

Thanks for that.

Wow that really sucks. Those lightwurkz jobs are costly and it was basically pointless for you to have done it. On a slightly good note, at least now the lights can be opened with out further dremeling.

Well I made some mistakes and so did they.
Luckily I'm 50 and can afford these kinds of things.
I made the best of it and learned how to do this myself.

There's a much better tool to cut them open with than a dremel.
I use a small angle grinder with a super thin composite cutting disc as can be seen in the pic.
It only takes about 10 minutes to cut the headlight assemblies open.
The dremel can be used to make some small cuts nessesary to mount the large eye rings.
The whole thing can be done in a day then the glue has to dry overnight.
To cut them open again just cut again where the glue seam is.
If anyone wants to do this to an 03-06 and needs some more detail them PM me.
